Any help with this? All the time there's providers selling at 0.99/year but it is only for first year and it is a troublesome thing to have to move from registrar to registrar every time. I want to settle with one that offers a reasonable price and I want to stick with one, it's very tiring importing/exporting settings across registrars. Thanks!

Hi guys. I've got a domain name (.org) and I want to set up Wordpress on a subdomain, i.e. blog.lowyat.org. I also want to be able to use permalinks, something I won't be able to do if I just use a basic 300 redirect.

Can anyone chip in with some advice on how I should go about setting this up without incurring any cost? To my knowledge WordPress.com offers subdomain mapping but that costs USD13 (RM40+), even more expensive than my domain itself.

My opinion, in order of the value for money:
1. Times
+ free RM50 voucher like Popular
+ you can subscribe for a membership card for only RM15 (17 March) and get a 20% welcome voucher to use together with your BB1M & membership for two years
- limited selection of books, but not as bad as Popular
- not allowed to purchase magazines or comics

2. Popular
+ worth it because you get to spend RM50+RM50 voucher with no conditions
- small selection of books & no ongoing promotions
- cannot use Popular card for discounts (unconfirmed)

3. Kinokuniya
+ best selection of books available
+ can use membership card to obtain 10% discount on normal price books
- 10% discount not applicable for stationery, using the member card
- member card costs RM36/year. high entry cost

4. MPH
+ wide selection of books including less popular international publications
- not worth it, books are expensive
- no free vouchers
- vouchers in the little book are not worth it either

4. BookXcess & Big Bad Wolf
+ best for buying only books because of the huge discount
- no other purchases available (only books)
- no free vouchers etc

5. Borders
+ member card gets discounts for 2 years
+ RadioShack branded items in Borders bookstore can be purchased with BB1M (unconfirmed)
- voucher pack is pretty much the same as MPH (not worth much)
- power bank & earphones are typical China brand RM10 ones
