Lemme start first....<br /><br />HSBC -HDPM, cyberjaya- global support Exec<br /><br />pros: permanenet job, gud fer fresh grads with no job experience, sufficient breaks and canteen , free drinks and vending machines, mini sports room with pool and foosbal, medical ing card, annual leaves 18-22 days? , company share buying options(or sumthing like that), free transport from lotsa locations to KL, gud working environment adn career growth oppurtunities, annual increments and performance bonus<br /><br />cons: basic low, RM 1600-1800 <br /><br />Shell (IT helpdesk)- cyber, under various contracting companies (emerio, logica, excellink, etc)<br /><br />pros: gud money, about RM 4000 to RM 5000 easily (including all those medical and annual overloading), can get more for overtimes, , excellent gym, free drinks vending machines, sports clubs as shell practises a healthy work life balance environment, they take their employees welfare seriously, sports room, sleeping area to get some rest, mini cafeteria, sumtimes lunch provided fer 1/2 hour meal breaks, core Malaysia public holz recognized for double pays. <br /><br />cons: unpaid annual leaves and mc&#39;s, u don&#39;t come to work, u don&#39;t get paid for that day, politics are gonna make it hard fer u to get anywhere, daily/weekly rotational shifts, schedule management can be a pain in the a&#036;&#036; sumtimes, notice period is 3 MONTHS, company gonna be outsourced to EDS so all the pros might change for the worse in some sense : ). , had trouble with salary under emerio contract, sumtimes hav to do jobs of other depts to clear queue even though salary and job applied is on one particular position (management milks you out maxx)<br /><br /><br />Linksys under Vads contract-TTDI<br /><br />pros: gud money as plenty of overtime available, transportation allowances rm200-250, shift allowances from rm250-450 depending on shifts, annual leaves 12 days( but need to be earned, e.g. if u have worked there fer 4 mths, u are entitled fer 4 days AL so far,), MC&#39;s 14 days, notice period is 1 week for 1st 3 mths and 1 month after then., no issues with salary so far<br /><br />cons: shedule management can be headache, prepare to devote ur entire life for this company, forget ur family and frens, medical needs to be claimed but gonna take a long time, virtually no ELs except fer compassionate leave,<br />low basic, rm 1800-2100 depending on exp and qualifications<br /> To hell n back fer money Jobs &amp; Careers Sat, 15 Mar 2008 16:00:45 +0800
