Advice on repairing Myvi

Hello fellow sifus

I recently just had a minor accidents and I wanted to take my Myvi for repair, then I realised there are many things to repair.

Here's a list of damages:
1. Left side-mirror mirror tilted. I can still adjust the angle and all that, but up until a certain point, the mirror get stuck and not able to move anymore. Right now, it is tilted downwards, seeing more of the ground.
2. Scratches from front passenger door to rear passenger (Left) door. Rear passenger door is slightly dented, around the tyre area.
3. Broken chasis around the rear (Left) car tyre.
4. Front bumper is broken on the lower left area, around the fog light. Not totally shattered, but it is cracked.

I figured Damage#1 and Damage#4 can be solved by sending it to service center and get a replacement. But I am not too sure about Damage#2 and Damage#2.

Where should I go to repair them?
Where would you recommend?
And what are the things that I need to be aware of, to prevent getting roped into fixing unnecessary stuff?

Please guide me!

Electronics giving me electric shocks

My electrical appliances around my study desk constantly gives me electric shocks and I am aware of the risk.
But I don;t know where to start, or what to do. (Or even know if this place is the right place to ask)

So currently I found 2 places that has un-grounded environment, and both of them are using 3(or 4)-outlet power strip.

Just to illustrate this in words, it would be something like this:

environment A:
wall plug is plugged with a 3-outlet power strip (1).
Another 4-outlet power strip is plugged to (1).

[wall plug]
[][][](1)
.......---->[][][][]
..............[all 4 sockets are used]

environment B:
wall plug is plugged with a 3-outlet power strip(2)
Another 2x3-outlet power strip(3, 4) are plugged to (2).
Then, there is a UPS power back up plugged to power strip (4).

[wall plug]
------------->[][][](2)
...................|.....----------->[][][] (4)
.................. |....................|...|..---> [][][] UPS (2 plugs are used to power monitor and cpu)
...................v....................|...--------> Monitor 1
..............[][][][](3)..............----------------> Laptop charger
.............(all sockets are used)

MacBook Pro or Windows Workstation Laptop?

Hey guys, I'm going to further study soon and my course is Multimedia course.
Syllabus consist of web designing (developing as well), filming, video editing, 3D animation & rendering, and also post-pro VFX.

I've did some research on the laptop that I need to get, but I need some consultation from you guys on which laptop I should get.
Previously what I had in mind was, (choices were made based on reliability, performance, reviews)
1.Surface Pro 3(it sounded stupid, but the performance are quite promising, not gaming though)
2. MacBook Pro 15" (many many reviews on the internet put this in the A-list in terms of video editing and imaging.)
3. HP Zbook (Has found some variants on the website, but it has somewhat limited choices for smaller screen)
4. Dell Precision M4800 (probably the best in the middle of all precision laptop)

Budget for laptop : 7k +- (lower the better.. lol)
Preferred Specs : core i7, 8GBs ram, workstation GPU(like quadro or firePro, or maybe something else that pars with them in the same level)
I don't mind paying extra bucks for the better, but all of these has their own pros and cons.
And I'm in the middle of nowhere. =(

Any comments and suggestions?
Please, and thank you!!

<Sudden performance drop> Diagnose report.

Previous post.

From the previous I've mentioned about sudden performance drop of my rig, and I've followed the advise given and did some diagnose to identify whether is the HDD, processor, GPU, and RAM is working properly.

HDD = I've used HD-Tune to scan the 2 HDD of mine and find nothing wrong with it. But what bother me was, there's one HDD was diagnosed there's one very very small part was damaged at the first scan, but then the 2nd scan show nothing wrong with it.

Processor = I've used CPU-Z to check with the processor whether it ram up to 2.33ghz and it did. So there's nothing wrong with it, I suppose.

GPU = I've run torture test with Furmark and tested with every option, and with the usual resolution setting that I used for gaming which is 1280x1024 with Dynamic Background + Burn-in. Average FPS was 15, temperature has never gone up more than 70c. So I assume this working properly too. And I heard when the GPU is dying, it should have popped up alot of troublesome problems and symptoms.

RAM = I've booted mem.test for the whole night and there's no single error after 12 hours of test. So, again, no problem at all.

But the problem still remain unsolved. The PC is still lag like a motherlover, every single program execution also lag, even I just open a new tab at Google Chrome.
Last night I went to my friend and he told me it might be the mobo problem. But I'm too clueless to find out what is really happening.

Can somebody help me here?
Is it really the mobo? or maybe something else??

PSU = BlueStorm II 500w
CPU = Core 2 Quad Q8200 2.33ghz
GPU = ATi Radeon HD 4850
HDD = WD 250GB + Seagate 500GB
RAM = Kingmax 1GB DDR2 + Apacer 2GB DDR2 x 2
MoBo = Asus P5Q-Pro

My computer become freakishly terribly unbelievably lag suddenly.
As usual, I've been using my computer to do work on Adobe softwares, played some games, download some movies.
But one day, it suddenly become very lag. At first I thought it was the window's fault, so I reformatted it this afternoon.
But it didn't solve the problem.
My motherboard is ok, ram is ok, GPU is ok, HDD is ok. That's why I'm lost about diagnosing the problem.
Anyone here can help me out?

I just run few tabs in Google Chrome also will lag, the cpu suddenly can't afford for multi-tasking.
Not even simple task. Like browsing web + playing solitaire.
Task Manager shows no activity happening with memory usage and processors.

Processor = Core 2 Quad 8200 2.33ghz
Motherboard = Asus P5Q-Pro
GPU = Asus Ati Radeon HD 4850
RAM = 2 x Kingston DDR2 2GB, 1 x Kingmax DDR2 1GB (total 5GB)
Power Supply = 500w
HDD = WD 250GB + Seagate 500GB

Strange encounter.

So.. the story is, when I surfing, or downloading. The line suddenly dc and it's not the modem problem.
Modem still on, and other computers are still surfing the net.
Later on I found out that I disable and enable my LAN card in network configuration then stuff will get fixed.

But this happen pretty frequent and it driving me crazy as I was doing something suddenly the line dc.
and I have to disable and enable the line again. Sometimes it can't even get a IP and say "unidentified network."

Any clues or idea bout it?

Can't get optimal speed.

Hello, it's been months that I upgraded my 512kbps streamyx package to 1MB package.
But I'm currently using back the 512kbps modem because the new wireless modem that TMNet gave is sucks.
Not sure what happen but, the speed and line stability is like the cheapest whore in town.

You see, when I use the wireless modem, the download is about 380+kbps, upload is about 200+kbps.
I mean like, what the hell? Facebook also can't even load. Google also lag a little bit.
and then the ping response also sucks, about 60ms average.

Never mind then, when I start downloading stuff with xunlei aka thunder, the line disconnected.
And it takes time to reconnect, restarting the modem didn't even help.
Sometimes I just appear to surf net like usual it also will disconnect itself.

Hmmm, anyone here have a better idea how to sort this out? Instead of calling the maintenance team to reach my house and set bullshit stuff and give lame excuses.

Can detect power.

Ok, few weeks ago my cpu can boot up but failed to boot the motherboard, now the problem resolved, because I plugged wrong power plug to the motherboard that's why it don't have enough power to boot the cpu.
But now the problem is getting funnier.

I let my sister's boyfriend to check my cpu few weeks ago, and before he brought it back, he claimed that he and his friend tested my machine and everything is working fine. And after he brought it back I was thrilled because I can finally see my baby CPU again.
But then, when I assemble everything (keyboards monitors etc). I press the power button, the CPU won't boot at all.

I know this sounds stupid, but I've checked everything in my CPU again, everything is plugged into the correct place, and I don't see any hardware difficulties in there. When I turn on the power supply, the motherboard light was lit up and I assume that the machine detected the power source.
But still, when I click power button, nothing happen. @@

What is the problem now? Is it simple, or is it my machine has made it's way to smithereen?
