Engine mounting

Hi guys,

Will need advice here.

Recently i sent my car for repair work and the garage's owner said my car engine mounting got some problems thus throttled badly when he tried to restart my car after leaving there for few days. He said will cause car idle. And ask me to check.

I am wondering shall i go outside workshop or toyota service centre? My car just reached 3 years warranty.

Any good workshop / reliable one to recommend?

Anywhere near puchong...sunway...subang..to PJ will be good.

hi guys,

I'm kind of pissed off here...was informed that this area belongs to Maxis thus there's no streamyx and unifi available.

Called Time, fiber broadband also not available here.

I want to use something which is unlimited if possible with fast connection like unifi.

Maxis fiber network is not available here too.

Saw PI business 4G available here. but no fiber. So only 2Mbps. Wondering whether how's speed look like.

hey guys,

i have a 14' lenovo laptop from company for work purpose. since my old fujitsu spoilt, been using this laptop to online etc.
but cannot install msn and simply upgrade la. thus airasia also cannot use.

thought of buying own laptop, either 11.6, 12.1 or 13.3. couldn't make up my mind yet. but definitely not 10' netbook as performance is not good.

as i travel a lot, if buy a too big one will be funny coz bringing 2 laptops with me (though sit in the car only). love to buy 11.6 actually as it's small enough to carry around. i din play games, if got also fb or yahoo games but hardly. just use the laptop for blogging, online searching info most of the times, youtube, fb.

any solutions or recommendation guys? budget is best if 2.5k and below. i want a light machine. hardly use DVD/ CD rom.

oh ya, btw if i plan to buy iphone, do u think i need to buy laptop again?

which broadband is better and cheaper?

hey guys, i need a broadband for normal use like browsing net, facebooking, check mails...everyday will use up to ~3hrs
wana know which broadband is most stable and good speed..want to have a smooth online...willing to pay more for better efficacy...

but of course if there's cheap and good broadband, i'll be more than happy

may i know in taman wawasan, puchong..near bandar puteri there, which broadband is good???
as i'm travelling a lot, sometimes will need to use it while in jb and melaka also...any recommendation???

relocation to big city, kl

dear all,

i was asked by my company to relocate to kl. currently living in jb with my family thus expenses have been kept low. coz eat at home, sleep at home. if i agreed to relocate, my expenses in kl will definitely high coz i gotta rent a place to stay, food all have to eat outside, even internet also have to subscribe plus driving in kl everywhere also got toll.

i'm just wondering how much do u think it's reasonable to ask from my company for allowance?? if i wan2 rent a place in PJ/damansara how much do u all think will cost? RM300 enough?

any dear forummers was relocated by their companies b4?

which broadband service is more suitable for me

hey guys,

i'm currently subscribed to streamyx combo package 512kb (fixed line) which inclusive phone rental and paying RM90 per mth.
Thinking of upgrading to 1MB and wireless, as sometimes my bro and sis will fight to online

but i'm not sure which is the best option to do..
is it better to;
a) upgrade my plan to blockbuster deal right now which costs RM 110/mth? if 2 ppl online at the same time, they'll get average speed of 512kb?
b) upgrade to super upgrade deal? which costs RM 90 for the first 4 mths? and RM95 on 5th mth onwards? but does it include phone rental and is it wired connection?? if wired i need to buy router is it??? is using router better than wireless then??
c) or better to subscribe from maxis, celcom, digi or P1???

they usually use internet to browse websites for info, news, sometimes youtube, download songs, watch movies once a while..facebook to play games...

i'm a bit confuse with all the packages right now and not very good in IT, so don't understand which is more cost effective.

appreciate for your guys' inputs and advices.

crankshaft problem - atos

hi guys,

last fri my car broke down while driving in the middle of the road. my accelator pedal suddenly cannot be pressed anymore and my car stopped. my engine cannot restart then and get ppl to tow my car to hyundai workshop.

was informed it was due to my crankshaft problem. i did not get it change last time as the ppl there quoted me rm 1500~1800 just to change it.

i've traded in my car for toyota actually and supposed to hand in the car this wk. topmark has evaluated my car actually but with this problem, i asked them to deduct it straightaway from our agreed price last time but they rejected.

my sales ppl asked me no need to change it but ask the workshop ppl to help to make it start and can drive to topmark. but hyundai ppl said they didn't know how serious the condition unless they opened it and see but couldn't confirm whether the car can be started if didn't change the crankshaft. labour fee alone costs rm400 to open the car and see.

can anybody advise me what to do now???

my atos dying already..

hey guys,

my atos odometer has reached 160,000++, it's 2003 yr car and now lying in workshop coz i've problem of starting my car when my engine cools down in the morning. this happened twice in this wk.

besides that earlier on, my car was overheated and the mechanic has removed my thermostat.
that time while fixing the overheat problem, the mechanic got poured in water while the engine still not totally cool down..white smokes coming out..n duno my gasket got spoilt or not because of this. Ever since then, my car engine always need to top up water everyday, ~250ml or lesser. but when the water is poured into it, the water storage tank water level will increase and i need to pump out the extra water too. it has been few wks like this but only recently i sent to hyundai workshop to fix due to the hard starting problem.

the hyundai ppl told me may need to overhaul my car and gotta spend around 3k perhaps to fix it. my car value i guess is around 10~11k now. i'm not very sure.

but jus wondering whether it's worthwhile to fix it or sell it directly??

can any of the forummers advise me. but wondering any 2nd hand dealers will accept such car or not. if trade in to buy new car, also duno whether they will accept faulty car.

need ur guys feedback here, in 2005 my dad has purchased a 2nd hand atos (year 2003) for me. i was still naive and blur blur that time, i told my dad to buy kenari mana tau he got me a atos pulak and i signed the hire purchase loan without checking the things there

below is the table of payments;

ii) Deposit-

Guys, i'm confuse here, may i know

i) what is the car price which my dad has agreed at that point of time
ii) what is terms charges? how come there's an additional of 3.25%? what's the interest rates that the bank is offering actually, is it 6.05%? but total how much interest have i paid?
iii) how come the total amount payable by the hirer is RM 40,557.50? i thought my dad has paid deposit of RM 6,500, this amount should be deducted right?

my atos's windscreen cracked

Hey guys,

One day i was travelling on the JB-KL highway and heard a loud sound of stone flew and hit my car. I didn't notice there was a crack till my friend sat in my car and asked me about it later

my questions is it is possible to

i) fix/ repair the damage? it is a long crack. I just recently tinted my car so don't wish to waste money on it. 2nd i did not buy insurance for my windscreen. But as i'll be travelling quite excessively in highway, scared that if 2nd time kena again, what will happen to my screen if i didn't change a new one

ii) if change to a new screen, how much would it cost? My dad just asked me to ignore it as he said atos got 2 layers, no worry

my sis is thinking of opening an online boutique for the problem is we do not know where to source for cheap clothes.
i saw a lot of ppl selling clothes from taiwan, hong kong and china but we couldn't buy from them as if that's the case, we need to sell at a higher price than them. who'll be buying then..

i'll appreciate if any shifus here can let me know how they manage to get cheap clothes from overseas. where do they get the contacts actually?

fyi, when i looked at the owner's seat, nearby it there' s a sticker mentioned that correct pressure is 32. does it apply for all types of tyres?
what pressure u all applied for ur atos??

budget RM500~700. Any recommended brand and trustworthy shop in JB?

Coz feel my car really heaty n my hands are gtg darker bcoz of this. Long term may develop skin cancer lol
