Anyone done dental implant sucessfully has any good recommendation in Msia, kl selangor area?
Prefer straumann swiss brand & proper clinic with implantologist Dr.

So far looked up online found specialist below

Dr Lee Soon Boon
Dr Firdaus Hanapiah

Or anyone has done implants in Bangkok, are they cheaper/better compared to Msia?

Anyone can recommend? Planning to print on artcard of about 200-280gsm thickness type.
Looking at Epson my website but dunno which model is good? their website is a user unfriendly, no comparision table nothing.

Forget about online reviews, most of overseas models are not available in our region cannot buy anyways

Main door - wood finish advise (merbau)

Hi all,

I need some advise in painting my main front door.
It is a double door, this is how it looks now unpainted. It is made of MERBAU wood

For its handle, i will be using black matte long bar. Lock finish will also in matte black.
I want to achieve this type of look. Light wood color. This might be pine wood or teak wood in the picture im not sure.

Carpenter gave me a few colors from as below. He said since my door it outdoor it is advisable to use this paint
Dulux Solarscreen exterior wood finish.

So i choose 'gold bar' color since it the closest i can tell based on the look i want to achieve.
I asked him to paint me a sample and see how it looks.

to my horror it looks so ugly. Paint looks shiny; and i can see its wood pattern which is in black streaks

Anyone can advise me what sort of paint/brand/finish to use to achieve my desired door look?
I understand that different wood outcome of paint is different.
Asking any carpenter or wood expert; what i should use?

Should i just OIL it? But my carpenter said if u just oil it; it won't last in the sunlight.

Kitchen hood ducting (can use pvc pipe)

Hi guys,
I am in the process of installing my kitchen hood.
Hood I bought came with the 3meter flexible alluminium but it is still too short.

Is it possible to just use pvc pipe with same diameter instead of using the alu duct?

Pvc pipe can stand till a variable degree of heat, and I assume exhaust heat from hood is not that hot?

Anyone has experience installing hood with pvc pipe, need ur advise

Hi there,

Anyone here done this trip before?
PLanning to go Xinjiang this year, trying to gather as much info as possible.

When ppl hear u say "im going Xinjiang" first thing they say is "WHAT?!" U not afraid ahhh, they hate HAN Chinese and its a terrorist zone"; Im like wtf~ if so afraid then dont have to step outta ur house liao.

So since China has built the Lanxin GaoTeh (high speed railway) in 2014, it is now possible to take the 11 hours train from Lanzhou to Urumqi. Along the way it passes interesting places like Turpan & Jiayuguan.

Im a backpacker & i hate joining tours unless really really necessary.

My plan is to fly in Lanzhou take train to Urumqi, fly to Kashgar. And from Urumqi back to Msia.
Of course along the way we will need to transit in a major China city.

Anyone taken this trip, mind to share how was ur flight routes, and if u r chinese; seriously any thing i should be afraid of to the point of cancelling the trip? I believe the riots few years back has already pass, but now we have all the terrorist stories & etc

Not too sure where to start.
im looking for modern design, how do u guys do it? Do u guys just go to local store selling doors and choose what they have?
Or google patterns up and have it custom made by carpenteR?

Hi Guys,~

My house is in the process of completion infrastructure side, i mean walls, roofing, electrical.
However i am clueless to the interior of the house, especially the kitchen - dining - living area.
5 bedroom house

New home owners, how do u go about doing it?
Do you hire interior designers to do up for you?

How do interior designer charge? Do they draw up the plan for u, and u can engage carpentry/cabinet works yourself?

Anyone has any good recommendation?

Hi All,

Need some opinion on what most ppl would do with say their life savings of $150k for purely investment?

Say i plan to built a place which cost roughly $300k, say another 50k to furnish it,~ total $350k and in return a $2k rental income.
I shall pay $150k for the house, and borrow $200k from my parents. Repay them monthly(without interest).
One catch with the house is though, cant sell it anytime soon as the land is sort of an inheritance from my parents to me. Would be deem unfilial if i were to sell the property to make a quick profit.

OR

Shall i forgo the house & invest in long term stocks instead say 5-10years? 5-8% return maybe?
