Panasonic GX740 vs GX800

Dear sifus,

I would very much appreciate all your opinions and feedback on this matter. I'm looking to get a new 65" 4K TV for basically PS4 PRO gaming and watching 4K movies. After some reaserch, I'm pretty much set on the Panasonic GX series especially for it's mid-range price that covers all HDR formats. Going by the official Malaysian website alone the only difference between the GX740 vs the GX800 is the Bright Panel and the Panel Drive. Super Bright Panel and 1500 Hz for the GX740. Super Bright Panel Plus and 1800Hz for the GX800. Unfortunately, after much in depth research, there isn't any details on the difference of the specs between the standard Panel and the Panel Plus.

My question to all you sifus, is the minute difference between the GX740 vs the GX800 actually worth the RM 700 - RM 1000 difference in price?

Please kindly enlighten me. thank you.

Dent repair and respray

Just had a minor fender bender a few hours ago. Dented my left rear fender and the paint is definitely damaged. Does anyone have any good recommendations on decent and reliable shops that will repair the dent as well as respray the area that won't cut the throats of a new unknowing customer? Pics attached below.

I just got a HTC Desire this afternoon.I did not get it from Maxis.So I used my prepaid Hotlink line from my previous hp.Everything is working fine. I can make calls, I can receive calls and I can even receive SMS's but I cant seem to send them....The Delivery Report just says pending... Please help...

Posted in the thread above but nobody answered so Im posting my own.

1. Any brand as long as it worth the cash im paying
2. RM2.2k
3. Specs also should be worth the price im paying.
4. Doesnt matter what type or size

Actually my heart is very VERY much set of the HTC Desire. tongue.gif But since the Desire is already aging plus the Desire HD will be coming out soon I just wanted to get everyone's opinion on whether I should get it or is there a better phone out there?

First of all I am leaving to study overseas at the end of this month so I want to get a new hp before I leave.I have done tons of research and pretty much 80% of all reviews say its fantastic and the best smartphone out there at the moment.I do know about the disappointing battery life too but that a minor loss for me.Secondly, am not into the iPhone fad so I dont prefer the iPhone4 plus Im guessing even if Im able to find it it'll be expensive as hell!

So Id really appreciate it if anyone can endorse the HTC Desire or give me their recommendations.THX!!

Problem details

I just upgraded to the Cool Uni pack so I did not have to wait for any activation.My account was already active.And since the package came with a wifi modem I decided to give it a try.After all the configuration it is working fine.I can surf and download as usual.

Im a user who utilizes rapidshare and hotfile a lot so with my previous package I just utilize a wifi router connected to the TM Riger modem.And through the web based config page for the router I could easily disconnect and reconnect to obtain a a new IP because the page had a Connect/Disconnect button.

But unfortunately with the new wifi modem (Dlink DSL 2640B) there isnt a Connect/Disconnect button.Either I cant find it or there isnt one at all.

Can anyone tell me how I can reset the IP address without turning the modem on and off?Most of the time Im away from the wifi modem so its a hassle to go up to it and turn it on and off.....

Can anybody please help?

Upgrading iPhone OS

I bought a set this morning at a cellphone fair.It isnt a "official" set brought in by Maxis but I bought it anw coz it was dirt cheap.But my problem is that it comes installed with a chinese version of the OS.The main and basic functions are all in english but other stuff like the compass and dictionary are in chinese.(not sure if its Mandarin or Cantonese) The name of the software version is I8355_CHN_CA_W_V1_1_1. Plus another problem I have is that when I make or receive calls I can use none of the options on the screen (eg. speakerphone,ans,cancel and so on) There is a little round blue icon in between the ans and cancel button which looks like a loading icon which has frozen.The only way to answer calls is to press the Home button and the sleep/wake button to cancel calls.(According to the guy I bought it from the software it is using v2.71 doesnt allow those fuctions.Which I found odd coz if it appears on screen I should be able to use it.)

So I think its the chinese version of the OS that is giving me these issues so I was wondering If anyone knows that if I go to the apple website and upgrade to OS 3.1.2 will it solve my calling problems and will it change everything back to english or do I have to do a complete wipe of the OS from my phone to solve all these issues?

Botched IE installation

Ok...I accidentally removed IE while I was doing a disk cleanup.How foolish of me.So I downloaded the IE 7 installer from the Microsoft website and started the installation process.It took a hell of a long time to download updates and install it.When it finally did and asked to restart my laptop to complete the instaLL,I did.

But when it restarted the was no IE shortcut on the Desktop or at the Start Menu!I look in the program files directory and saw an Internet Explorer folder.So I went to the Add Remove programs to remove it but the was no IE program in sight.

So I checked the folder and there was a Connection Wizard folder plus 3 other files.The 3 files were hmmapi.dll,iexplorer.exe and iedw which is some kind of crash detection software.I tried deleting the whole IE folder but it said the Connection Wizard folder was being used.Then I just tried deleting the 3 files without the Connection wizard folder and it deleted them.But to my shock about 5-6 seconds later the 3 files just appeared back out of nowhere!!

I hope someone can help me out...

I hope this doesn't sound absurd because the point of streaming videos online is that you dont need to download it anymore.......But whenever I watch trailers at the apple website using Quicktime, I have noticed that data is being downloaded onto the drive where Quicktime is installed.I find this very odd......At first I thought maybe they were just temporary files so i ignored it but now i realize the temp data is not deleted after restart so the more trailers I watch the more HDD space i lose......Any idea how I can delete these temp files??I cant seem to find where they are.....

btw im using Windows.....I hope I posted this in the right place.

AP n82 icons issue.....

I have a AP n82 set that I bought about 4 months back.The problem I have with it is whenever I install a theme with custom icons and then apply it,only the icons in the active standby seems to change......the icons in the menu stay the same as in the default settings.I've tried everything but nothing seems to help.....Anyone have any ideas whats causing this issue??

I had my mind totally set on da n95 8gb til i got sum negative commentz frm a reliable source.Saying dat it has lotz of issues like it crashes n hangs a lot n dat it is susceptible 2 virus attack bcoz da bluetooth allows all incoming connections.I had been reading lotz of reviews on da original n95 which was spot on coz my dad had it,everythin gr8 except da batt.But research on da 8gb version is totally contradictory 2 my source.Everythin iv read sez itz a superb successor to da n95.N my source is recommendin da n82 instead......so u cee my dillema.my mind is reli set on da n95 8gb so i dun 1na be disappointed in da end.....plz help!!
