SenQ

All experience IPAD2 sifus...

Looking to purchase an Ipad2 for wifey. Noticed that SenQ has some package going on at the moment.

No big difference except that SenQ provide a free extra 1 year warranty on top of normal Apple 1 year International warranty.

With a top up of 289?? You get another 2 years extension...

My personal preference is I will never go back for issues - hate it.

Golden question: How is the service like in SenQ? Any horror stories? Package in SenQ any good??

May all the good sifus pour in some comments, inputs, critics, suggestions, etc....

Thank you in advance!

[addedon]December 14, 2011, 6:54 pm[/addedon]34 readers but no comments?? Aww common... don't be shy!!

Reinstalling OS without Backup CD

OS is Vista Home.

Got a message indicating low memory in drive D. D is the drive with factory OS backup. So there were options and I remembered picking something like ......last point of restore...... can't really remember the correct sentence. Then the machine can't restart and went into recovery window.

Now my problem is I never backup the data and OS/Driver. Damn...

So anything I can do from my noob end? Will I get a CD from HP if I beg em?

Browsing problems...

As the title goes, I have issues with browsing either by using IE7 or IE8. Tried Google Chrome and FireFox with the same results. The browsing go intermittently and even with the page loaded, some pictures could not load.

Warning I get from IE8:

FTP(Passive): Error 12004 connecting to ftp.microsoft.com: An internal error occurred in the Microsoft Internet extensions.

FTP(Active): Error 12029 connecting to ftp.microsoft.com: A connection with the server could not be established.

Error - Could not make an FTP connection.

I'm using AVG Free 9 and XP SP3. Initially suspected it was the bad connection but connection is normal using other terminal via router.

I'm using a modem with Linksys wireless router.

Please help.
Question about additional SATA HDD

Hi sifus out there,

Just came back from PC Fair and thought I'm gonna have a cracking upgrade on my pc desktop. A second SATA HDD!

Only to find that my motherboard only has 2 SATA connection; one for the ori HDD and the other for the DVD drive

Now what?
1. Just use the new HDD: I don't want to go through the hassle to reinstall windows vista the other softwares...
2. Buy SATA case and use the new HDD via USB: then it defeats the purpose of having SATA?

What is your take? Common, sifus out there, I'm tired from the being a human sardine in the afternoon and I can't think of a good solution now Pleasssssssssssssssssssssssssszzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz HELP

Appreciate any suggestions...
me.

Data flooding your home alarm mainboard?

Sorry if off topic but I really can't find other section to post. Appreciate if the moderator can move it to the right place if this is the case.

My house alarm went nuts. Technician called and the verdicts are:
1. Lightning strike.
2. Internet.

Perplexed, I asked for further explanation about #2. The technician explained that the use of broadband internet (Streamyx via phone line) can harm the mainboard. The data streaming over the phone line could corrupt and flood the memory IC. So if the luck is not wif you, then it'll go nuts.

What's your take in this? If the mainboard is connected to the phone line, would broadband data streaming *flood* the memory of the mainboard?

Thanks,
kepala besar besar now...
