hi,

my computer is now crazy. i always leave it idle. so when i want to use it again, it always comes back to the password page when you first turn on the computer. i dont know whats it called. anyway, this happens randomly and sometimes almost always. there's also a case where when i want to shutdown the computer, everything will go blank but i notice the power is still on.

i dont know what seems to be the problem. could it be because of a virus or sort? because my antivirus is kapput already.

can anybody please help or give some suggestion?

pc very slow

my computer is very slow. the first time it happened was when i send to computer shop because the os wont start so i guess they change the motherboard. now i've been experiencing real slow rate. even opening a file is a torture because i have to wait nearly 5 minutes for the file to play. this is NOT an exaggeration.

here's some info that might help you all in figuring this one out:

this computer is solely used for internet browsing.
windows xp service pack 2, just reformat. not ori kot.
512mb ram and 160g capacity.
100% cpu usage almost all the time.
really very slow.
no heavy downloading or heavy applications such as games and whatnot.
i also got 2 cd drives, one which doesn't play dvd and one which plays and burn dvd. but most of time, my burn process always incomplete. if can solve this, then a bonus!

PLEASE HELP!

Dell Keyboard Problem

hello.

i have 2 dell laptops. the inspiron 6400 and 640m. my 6400's keyboard no longer functional. and i see that my 640m is also slowly not functioning.
the first symptom was when i press certain key, certain windows pop-up.
for instance, if i press L, the log on screen will appear or if i press E or I, a windows explorer shows up and so many more.
after a while, space, arrows and ctrl key no longer work.
the only remedy i did to stop all this is to press shift and then press all the keys.
the constant pop-up would stop and i thought that was the last of it.

how wrong was i.

as important keys no longer work, i bought an external keyboard and the external worked perfectly fine.
occasionally the pop-up problem starts again but after a while it stopped.
and since then i got even bigger problem.
to make this more clear, let me demonstrate:

thksksshatha;;dsshdkjsddmykdylafd.

translation: this is what happens when i used my keyboard.

so, can anybody offer their help? i now completely rely on the external keyboard but it kind of bugs me especially if i want to go around.
this is a laptop for god's sake!
i should be able to carry it with me wherever i go without having to carry anything else!

ps: the only similarities i see between the two is that they both needed battery replacement.
