TPLINK MR3420 Router problem

Dear Sifu(s)

I've just bought a new TPLINK MR3420 router just for the sake of being able to use both 3g and asdl at the same time since streamyx is always down after rain and other reasons.

However, I have a problem, after plugging in the modem into the router and also connecting my desktop with LAN cable to 1 of the 4 ports in the router, the router cannot detect my desktop. I've tried to change the LAN cable and its still the same.

When testing using my laptop using LAN cable, it is able to detect and the lights in 1 of the 4 LED lights up.

My desktop is running on winxp and I've set the network connections (TCP/IP) to "dymamic/obtain ip from ...."

Unsatisfied, I plug in my old router and connect the LAN cable and walla...immediately it detects the pc and the LED lights up.

Then retry using the TPLINK and it still doesnt detect. Then, I thought maybe the LAN cable is kinda loose...and I did some adjustment on it and the TPLINK router "hang", with 6 LED blinking non stop. I've tried to hit on the reset button but it doesnt work. Ive tried to unplug the power and let it rest a few minutes and when I plug the power back, the 6 LED lights are still blinking and not responding to anything.

So guys, all your help is needed.

Thanks in advance for your advices.
