Enermax Infiniti two beeps

Hi fellow techies,
Posting here just to seek some advice on a matter I recently came across. It’s a PSU gone dead issue I think but just thought of getting some input first before I dump the PSU.
It’s an ENERMAX INFINITI 720 – a reliable unit that worked well for yeas 24/7 most of the time. Problem started a few days ago after awaking the PC from SLEEP. The PSU just beeped continuously. Continuous 2 beeps in 2 second intervals, non stop. You press the reset button next to the LED at the back, the beeping stops. But still no action from the PSU. Nothing happens. The PSU fan doesn’t rotate. What I notice is the Amber LED (on standby) goes to Green for a second or two, the stays a continous RED (with the Beeps). I’ve read a few forums, it states that the PSU is in "Protection mode". The Manual says that too. Unless something is shorting out usually means the PSU is dead. I didn’t mess around with the internals of the PC. It’s pretty difficult to short on a SATA, MOLEX possibility is there. Hooked the PSU up with another working MoBo (PC sysytem) - same symptoms. Lightning maybe and the PSU (being at the forefront) took the brunt of it to save the rest of the gang members (MoBo, CPU, RAMs, HDs, Graphics….). Some may say - fine just replace the PSU but for me it’s no ordinary PSU, cost me quite a bit for this fella and hate to see it just go by. I’ve since replaced the PC’s PSU with another ENERMAX, an older Liberty - these I see haven’t caused me any issues (touch wood). Thus the isolation troubleshoot proves the PSU is the culprit.
Warranty is probably out but am wondering if there’s anyone (or shops) out there that know how to get it back working.
Thanks :-)
