Apologies to Tai Zee Kin and Tai Zee How

2 days ago I posted a topic which was since deleted about these 2 brothers. I would like to offer my apology for posting such news without valid sources. While I'm always trolling other people like Najib and calling out names I realize the grave offence when I call people's individual names without much proof. For that I apologize

[@Taizeekin] Feel free to continue taking action as I understand that the damage has been done over the last 2 days has been great and it's only fair you do the necessary to clear up your name after what I have said about you.

Should we keep corrupt organization/company

I've seen a common trend when it comes to redundancy or closure of inefficient company.

1. Set up company meant to songlap money
2. Hire overpaid political appointees
3. Company caught in the act and forced to close down
4. Macai say don't close company coz overpaid political appointees got family to fee
5. ????
6. Kerajaan PH Kejam

Many seems to be okay with the idea it's okay to keep a money wasting organization and company as long as they don't "ruin someone's ricebowl".

We have a long way to go.....

HR perspective, why the PTPTN salary scheme is bad

I agree loans must be repaid, but turning employers and HR into Government Ah Long is not the way. Rates and amount aside, this is some reason why this new system is bad news for employers and employees alike

1. PTPTN is pushing collection responsibilities to us
We're already collecting for LHDN, EPF and SOCSO. If you're someone in HR involve in calculating the deduction rate, this could mean additional cost for upgrading the payroll system and more work for the HR staff. Some company have variable income for staff, with various allowance, deduction and commission. Adding a new layer of income based deduction is an additional burden to the staff, not to mention the risk of additional fines for non compliance.

2. Nobody likes if someone knows their debt
While debt is common feature in today's society, nobody will be comfortable if your credit card debt, loan amount or mortgage is made available.

3. PTPTN Borrowers may be discriminated

As Mention in #1, hiring PTPTN borrowers means extra work. In some case this could be a tie breaker for promotion or hiring decisions. Similarly being known as PTPTN borrower by your employer does make the employer question the employees integrity.

4. Dishonest employer may songlap PTPTN deduction
There are cases of employer deduction EPF, PIT and SOCSO but keeping the money to themselves. Similarly if an irresponsible employer did not make good of their PTPTN deduction, will PTPTN still consider the borrowers responsible for not paying?

5. Unhealthy precedence to make employers into Debt Collectors
Who knows in future we'll have to deduct for unpaid summon, quit rent, water bill, credit card, home loan or court fines. So stop suddenly turning us into your collectors.

Recruitment agency sometimes seems rigged

My company used the service of a well known recruitment agency for an urgent position so we offered an above average salary. However when they send their applications a lot of their CV and candidate seems to be sub par except for one. They explain given the short time frame and a lot of people waiting for their year end bonus the candidate pool may not be impressive.

However a day before we used the hiring service we put up the position up in job websites and we didn't take down one of the ads before getting the recruiter (the deal is when we use recruiter we aren't suppose advertise the jobs ourselves). When I saw the applications that came directly to the company a lot of the CV was more impressive than the one that came through recruiter. I asked the candidate given the deal please apply the position directly with our recruiter.

However none of them make the cut according to the recruiter and they have never receive any good application since. I confirm with 2 candidates they did sent their applications and CV to the recruiter. One even called the recruiter and the response was the recruiter was trying to discourage her from applying. Now the recruiter is pushing us to quickly conduct the interview on the candidates and make the decision.

It's a bit inconclusive but I somehow feel like recruiters are helping their friends to get the jobs by submitting one impressive resume among the many sub par ones.

Ex boss tried to enter my condo without telling me

My last job in a startup I had a big argument with the company's founder who is a foreigner. Since I resign I've been bugging him and threaten to report him to authorities for late payment of salary which he eventually did. Now the company has gone bust but I think from the HR record he knew where I stay and yesterday he tried to come in my condo.

Thankfully the guards were vigilant when they ask for his identification and he refused to produce any official identification and just say his name is one of my ex colleagues in that company. He tried to make a fuss with the guard and left afterwards and the guards informed me about that incident.

I checked with the security office and camera shows that it was indeed the foreigner who tried to come to my unit. I'm not sure what's his purpose but considering he didn't call me in advance and use a different name to get in I fear it could be something sinister.

Can I file a police report for trespassing?

US Politicians are now following Trump style

‘Trump Imitation Syndrome’ is afflicting the president’s liberal enemies

QUOTE

The malady known as Trump Derangement Syndrome is marked by a sudden explosion of crazy talk and sometimes actions coming from people formerly regarded as sane. Its sufferers, most, but not all, living on the left wing of the political spectrum, are prone to declare Donald Trump an existential threat to everything, and therefore feel entitled to fight fire with fire.

Think of the threats of impeachment before Trump was even inaugurated. Or the fantasies of unhinged celebrities such as Kathy Griffin, Robert De Niro and Madonna that the president or his family suffer violence and maybe death.

All this reprehensible conduct was winked at by the national media because Trump is obviously such a bad, bad person. He is so bad that he had managed to drive good people crazy, so who could blame them?

Yet now, two years into a Trump presidency, a new malady is emerging, one that reflects a less hostile view of him. It is an implicit recognition that the most unlikely commander-in-chief has not only survived, but is thriving in some ways.

I think of this new disease as Trump Imitation Syndrome because its sufferers are behaving in ways that are downright Trumpian.

New Yorkers — aren’t we lucky? — are getting a double-dose of it, courtesy of Gov. Andrew Cuomo and Mayor Bill de Blasio. Both are Democrats and both made vicious attacks on Trump a main feature of their successful re-election campaigns. But because imitation is indeed the sincerest form of flattery, we can assume they now see political virtue in Trump’s method.

The governor, stung by criticism of the enormous subsidies and power grab he used to lure Amazon to Queens, is turning on much of the media with a ferocity straight out of the president’s playbook.

Cuomo, in a statement that his office dubbed an op-ed, although it had not been published anywhere else, took a blowtorch to The Post, The New York Times and CNN. He accused all three of being hypocrites because they, too, had received tax credits or other benefits for job creation and retention in the past.

“This transaction is a lightning rod for the political rhetoric on both extremes,” Cuomo wrote, saying, “Extreme conservatives and the socialists both now vehemently oppose ‘incentives’ for Amazon.”

He suggested that antagonism toward the deal was driven in part by the fact that Amazon’s Jeff Bezos also owns The Washington Post, and is thus a competitor of the media critics.

The governor didn’t use the words “fake news,” but he might have, for he was copying you-know-who in trying to discredit criticism as being driven by hidden agendas and personal ambitions.

To underscore the point, Cuomo issued a second blistering attack after the Times hit him in another editorial.

The comparison will be complete if he can find a version of Jim Acosta to slap around.

Then there’s Mayor Putz. His own 2017 campaign featured so much presidential bashing that one left-wing outlet credited him with teaching “Democrats How to Fight Trump” and another said he “Finds His Mojo as the Anti-Trump.”

SEE ALSO
Bill De Blasio.
De Blasio insists he's no Trump, attacks media again
That was then. But last Friday, while New Yorkers were still recovering from a disastrous City Hall response to a 6-inch snowstorm, the mayor fired the head of the Department of Investigation, the city’s chief watchdog.

The official, Mark Peters, formerly a close friend and ally, fought back, accusing de Blasio of trying to quash investigations that revealed wrongdoing in his administration.

Echoes of James Comey’s charges against Trump after he was fired are unmistakable. Indeed, Peters issued a long letter to the City Council, alleging that a deputy mayor asked him to kill an investigation and that when he declined, he was told he was not being “loyal” and was no longer “a friend” of the administration.

A demand for loyalty — that rings a bell. Oh, right, it was a heinous crime when Trump supposedly did it. Now, everybody does it, ho hum.

And imagine if Trump fired special counsel Robert Mueller — what would de Blasio say?

National Democrats, despite their loathing of all things Trump, also play the imitation game. The penchant among Dem losers in Florida, Georgia and elsewhere to declare elections rigged because they lost are examples of how they have adopted traits they denounced in Trump.

The president is no doubt flattered by the unspoken tribute coming from copycats. By adopting his ways and style, they clearly hope to copy his success.

But they won’t. Trump’s success came in large measure precisely because he wasn’t copying anybody — he was being uniquely himself.

SEE ALSO
Mark Peters.
Fired investigations chief says mayor pressured him to quash reports
There was nobody like him in either party. Recall how Sen. Marco Rubio, once thought to have a good chance at the GOP nomination, panicked as his chances slipped away and decided to get into an insult contest with Trump.

Few people remember what exactly he said to the front-runner, but nobody will forget that Trump dubbed him “Little Marco.” End of contest.

Or recall one of the greatest knocks voters had on Hillary Clinton — she was inauthentic. Like a chameleon, she changed colors depending on the audience.

The message is clear: Knockoffs should beware. There is only one Trump.

Families face divisive holidays

Thanksgiving is a great, uniquely American holiday, with the modern mix of family, food and football capturing something fundamental about our remarkable nation.

Yet amidst the love comes the realization that deep divisions are tearing us apart. While many families will avoid politics Thursday, those who dare to wade in might use as a starting point a chilling letter from reader Carole Campolo. She writes:

“Today we commemorated our beloved veterans, many of whom gave their lives to protect our country from foreign enemies, but I believe the real threat is coming from within.

“Antifa mobs attack individuals and their families without anyone being held to account, deep staters use the power of their office to try to take down an administration with whom they disagree and there is demonization of Trump supporters.

“I believe our country has gone over the edge and only a miracle or unfortunately some catastrophic event can bring us back together.

“There are so many of us out here who are devastated and feel helpless to change the negative trajectory of our beloved country. Our votes are being nullified, we are being called Klan members and we believe it is only a matter of time before we too will be attacked physically if we are too verbal about our beliefs.”

Air travelers in a real fix

From the Daily Mail: “Passengers are forced to chip in to pay for REPAIRS to their Boeing 787 before it takes off from Beijing to Poland.”

And you thought air travel couldn’t get worse.

A stock tip that’s no bull

Word to the wise.

With once-high-flying tech stocks coming back to earth with a thud, Wall Street strategist Bruce Bittles offers a warning to investors that could apply to most things at most times.

He tells The Post: “When things get too popular, be careful.”

https://nypost.com/2018/11/20/trump-imitati...iberal-enemies/

tl;dr : US Politician even Democrats and Liberals are following Trump style of coming out absurd statement and throwing insults in order to win support because somehow it works.

QUOTE

GEORGE TOWN: History was created when Penang became the first state in the country to limit the tenure of the Chief Minister to two terms.

The motion secured more than two-thirds majority at the state legislative assembly, with 33 assemblymen voting yes. The three opposition members abstained from voting and four assemblymen were absent.

Speaker Datuk Law Choo Kiang said they needed at least 23 votes.

Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow earlier tabled the motion to a roaring thumping of tables as a sign of approval.

“The intention is to fulfil an election promise made during the recent general election,” he said at the state assembly sitting yesterday.

“It is an unprecedented decision, and we hope this will restore the people’s faith in the government.

“As someone who will be affected by the decision, I do not take it personally.

“I do not know if other states will follow suit. I hope the federal government will follow us,” he said.

Chow said that limiting the tenure to two terms would ensure no abuse of power and create leadership renewal.

“An amendment to the state constitution’s provision for the executive council needs to be made, by inserting an additional sub-clause 7(A)(ii).

“The amendment states that ‘a member of the Legislative Assembly may be appointed Chief Minister if they have not at any time held the position for two terms’,” he said, adding that one term would be taken as five years.

“This amendment will come into force today (yesterday),” he said.

Read more at https://www.thestar.com.my/news/nation/2018...Fgfawvj6otKC.99

in b4 Macai say DAP no balls apply this to Mahathir.

If I'm a brutal murderer but do a lot of charity

I see when people do crimes like corruption, stealing, cheating, defenders like to say "at least he contribute to some good unlike other criminal".

So is that the reason why some people like to do charity? It's because good and evil is just a matter of points, and if you do enough 'charity' with your dirty money and corrupt position people will forgive you for the greater good?

Flag politically motivated threads in Kopitiam

While politics dominate your average kopitiam talks, I feel nowadays there's too many politically motivated threads in Kopitiam created by dupes. Can we allow users to flag these type of threads in kopitiam for 'politically motivated' and allow users to filter political threads away from your average Kopitiam nonsense thread. It's getting really annoying that half of kopitiam topic should be in politics instead.

Will Najib be a fulltime Facebook troll?

Najib seems to be committed to be the world first political troll.

Think about it:

1. All of his statement is via social media
2. He refuse to answer public interview unless they ask the question that he wants

Will he be the world first cyber politician? A politician who does his duties solely on the internet?

Theory : Why macai like to attack these ministers:

From the thread Mat Sabu qualification as a cook and thus is not qualified to be defense ministry, LGE incompetence, Syed Saddiq LGBT assistant and Mazlee's black shoe fiasco,

Cybertroopers kept attacking these 4 ministers, and while someone like LGE makes sense given his statement on 1MDB and the country's health, the constant attack on Mat Sabu, Syed Saddiq and Mazlee is constant to the point of obsession. There are more ministers out there and they seem to be off the radar.

Then I notice a common factor between these target of Najib and his cybertrooper team trolling obsession:

All these 4 people are currently Ministers of Najib's previous Portfolio.

Syed Saddiq - Minister Of Youth and Sports - Held by Najib from 1986-1990
Mat Sabu - Minister of Defense - Held by Najib from 1990-1995 and for the 2nd time 2000-2008
Dr. Mazlee - Minister of Education - Held by Najib from 1995-2000
Lim Guan Eng - Minister of Finance - Held by Najib 2008 - 2018

From the looks of it Najib is trying to make every PH member who took his portfolio look bad. Guess this guy really wants to have some legacy preserved and can't stand if some Minister is perceived to be better than him.

What was the reason for disabling new user in May

What trigger the admin to implement a month plus new user registration ban during that period? Is it the first time in LYN history that new user is being disabled?

Did the admin really notice an extremely high number of user registration immediately after GE14? Or is it for reason other than the election?
