Asiaflex Engineer Apprentice Program - TECHNIP

Hi everyone,

Received an email from them, that I just got selected for the 2nd screening. The 1st screening is the resume submission.
Btw I'm quite confused, is this program directly under Technip? What is Asiaflex?

This is only a training(12 months), hence only best performer will be offered a permanent position, that too subjected to vacancy availability.
Anyone else selected for the 2nd screening process?? Mind to share some info about this program?

Thanks!

COLOR BLIND...

I am a final semester student from our local private university, taking Mechanical Engineering and I have this type of color blind that when any 2 of this 3 color combined(red, yellow and green), I would see the color differently from others. Do u remember the computerized test to get your 'L' driving license? Well I failed that 1 real bad, but doc said that I can still drive without harm because I can see the traffic light, so I get my license.

This deficiency haunts me back few weeks ago when I got a job interview with samsung and an ONG companies. They tested me with the color blind test and as I told them that I cant read the numbers, they simply said that they cant proceed me with the interview.. That moment was really a setback, I felt that I just wasted 5.5 years as I got no future in engineering, especially my main interest, ONG/energy..

Next Friday I got invited for an interview with ALSTOM Asia Pacific, for a position of GT commissioning engineer, and I was told that they have this color blind test too.... I have a friend who is also a commissioning engineer at ALSTOM, and he also has color blind deficiency too and he told that it doesnt really affect his job in any way.. This might be the biggest job interview offer I could ever get, and I just lost it even before going for the interview...SIGH..

Is there really any place for me in engineering especially ONG / energy industry??

Feeling really lost like now, like I'm all alone, should not take engineering at that very 1st place..

And to know that only 1% of male have this color deficiency.... WHY IT MUST BE ME?????
