Civic 1.8S-L or New Altis Dual VVTI

I am finding it hard to choose between the Civic 1.8S-L and the new Altis 1.8G Dual VVTI so I hope to post this and get some opinions.

1. Price wise, both about the same. Civic is RM119,980 and Altis is RM122,990

2. Civic is still on i-vtec vs the Altis at dual VVTI. Throttle response is much improved in the Altis compared to the pre-facelift version.

3. Both gives the same power and torque on paper.

4. Civic is an outgoing model but Altis will still be around a while more.

5. In terms of FC, I think dual VVTI will give better FC than i-vtec.

6. Altis has 7 speed CVT vs Civic's 5-speed auto tranny. But I fear that CVT gearboxes might be problematic as in the case of the previous version Honda Citys.

7. Altis has sequential shift vs none on the Civic.

Sigh.....which should I get?

8GCC Forum

Hi guys/gals,

Not sure if it is appropriate but just wanted to ask your opinion about the 8GCC forum. Any members here?

I wanna know if the forum is exclusively for Civic owners only? The reason I'm asking is that I have just joined as a member but my posts doesn't seem to garner attention but I see other newbies posting and getting response. I don't think I offended anyone there but I did mention that I'm not a Civic owner. Could it be because of that?

Just wanna check and if it is only for Civic owners, then I will not waste my time posting. I will just follow silently.

Android Market

Hi...newbie to Android here.

I am very excited about the newly launched HTC Desire and have been reviewing a lot of it lately.

However, I just came to know that Android Market is not available in Malaysia (or is it?) and it struck me like a lightning cos now I am thinking twice about going Android.

So, I was hoping that I can get more information on how Android users here are coping without the Android Market. Can you guys live without it? How essential is the Android Market to the usability of the phone? Comments I read about Android phones turning from "smart"phones to "dumb"phones without Android Market is scaring me. Will I be missing out a lot?

Hope you guys can help enlighten me.....
