[WTA] Mixing Ram

I plan to upgrade my 1 x 8gb with another 8gb as my usage finally outgrowth the 8gb. Currently using 8gb gskill 1600mhz ddr3 value ram and non-overclocked intel 3470.

I have done some homework over google and there seems to be two conflicting opinion.
1) It is okie to mix match as long spec is similar
2) Not recommending to mix match as even though they match, at long term there may be issue of compatibility.

So do any of you have this kind of experience? If mix matching the value ram has no much problem i will probably go that path. If not, have to consider a kit and sell off the old one.

Advise on PC speakers

Not sure if post in right forum, i have two choice of speakers to use for my desktop. The speakers placement will be near to me (surround the office table).

The speakers:
1) Edifier DA5100
2) Sony DZ950

Both are around the same price.
My primary use is for

1) 60% game
2) 30% movie
3) 10% music

I prefer better audio quality but not sure which one is better out of this two. I want a 5.1 for gaming surround purpose. Budget wise should be <Rm800. Any advise?

Question
1. I need the motherboard with fast boot and allow mild over clock. Is the msi a good choice?

3. Windows OS is not need as I have windows 8 license
4. How is the AMD driver nowadays? I have bad experience with it 4 years back. However my gtx 260 is pretty stable after changed from ATI
5. Suggest me a at least 500w PSU with modular cable. Must have good review.
6. No plan to crossfire later on due to the size restriction. I need a small machine.

White thing on heatsink?

Hi every sifu, i wash my TRUE with water to clean off dust by soaking it inside water for an hour and then use shower head to wash it..Then dry it using hot hair blower.but then afterward i notice there a lot white thing on the heatsink What is it actually and how to clean them? I use tissue scratch it, wont come off easily

-edit- alcohol can clean them off, i wonder if anyone has better suggestion to clean heatsink dust instead wash it using water..I scare that the oxidation occur again the the alu bcome thinner each time i wash it

My computer suddenly turned off itself

It is like this i have gaming with my pc but sometimes ( i encounter 3 time) it switch off itself..Cannot restart or whatever..power still connected ( coz red light still on) i need switch off power and turn it on so that it can boot again..Cold boot?? May someone tell me what is the wrong? Thx everyone!!

-edit- it is not reboot but shut off suddenly

Btw the mobo has post code, after the pc is off itself, the power n restart button pressed no response at all, boot also cannot boot
Only after switch off main power sometime then it can work

-edit at 23 dec- encounter countless time of sudden shut down...all shut down without warning

I have no extra parts to test which part of the rig is faulty but i try change my power source to different plug , all result the same shut down..It is very uncertain when it gonna shut down suddenly, very very ramdomly, sometime few days wont shut down, sometime shut down in a row.

Try digs advise, i disable proc overheat shut down protection, no help, window does not affect 2 coz i reformat before...
