Hi, anyone got any idea how to setup dual displays on the previous gen of Mac Mini's?
Safe to put a CPU next to an unshielded subwoofer?

Hi all..

Im planning to build a new gaming PC... but deciding where to put it.

The most obvious place in my room would be to place it next to the subwoofer of my speakers. Altec Lansing MX5021.

However, according to the specs, the subwoofer is unshielded, so would it be safe for my hard disks if i place them next to each other?

Thanks...

I have an OOOOOLD unit of Pentium 4 570J, which is a Prescott processor using the LGA775 socket.

Would the new LGA775 socket mobo's work with this old processor? I'm planning to build a new quad core and wanna see if I can salvage the old processor... assuming of course when my old pc died it was just the motherboard

Possible to recover data from a hard reset on PDA?

I want to ask the opinions of all of you that do phone repair or dealers or customers or anyone at all.

Recently my collegue sent my boss's Dopod 818 in for service at SIS Distribution's Official service center at Lowyat as there were some minor problems.

Over there, he told the service people that what ever they do, they MUST backup all the contacts and everything (my boss is not IT literate) before they do anywork, as they are very important.

The techinician there, seeing he cannot repair the phone. Decided to do a HARD RESET ! ERASING ALL CONTACTS WITHOUT BACKING UP !!!!

Seeing my collegue doenst know much about phones and not very brave. The technician said its not his fault and just handed the phone back and said nothing can be done about it anymore and STILL CHARGED RM 30 !

What i want to know is, can the contacts still be recovered? and anyone know the customer service department at SIS DIstribution that i can call and marah teruk teruk?

I as a service engineer myself knows its not ethical to do what he has done, not following customers specific instructions.

Thanks for any input

Weird Problem

Personal equipment

Router: D-Link G604T

Problem details
First occurence of problem: Approximately 3 weeks ago
Problem frequency: everyday?
Problem description:

It goes like this. At normal surfing, i get extreme slow loading of webpages, sometimes it just times out. And even while downloading stuff from gmail or loading yahoo games takes forever, download speed on gmail averages 1-2kbps and frequently hangs.

However, if Im on MSN, and on a video conversation with someone, the connection usually speeds up to really quick, then at that time i get to load webpages real fast, gmail downloads at about 40-50kbps and basically my connection is blazing fast.

THe instant i end the video conversation, my connection drops back down to its extremely slow and laggy connection...

any ideas what might be causing this problem? I'm using a laptop, so i'm connected to my router wirelessly.

p.s it doenst just happen at home, same thing in the office, if i turn on the webcam with someone, the connection just starts blazing up, and dies immediately after i end the video conversation.

Issit more of a problem with my laptop? or the router?
