Dlink 2750e setting for use with UNIFI

In my case my network got around 30-40 user every day in and out + wifi connection 50users+-. The Unifi free Dlink AC1200 really gave me tons of problems as some network connetion become crazy, sometime can ping sometime not, some IP work fine some IP fail. I thought was the server giving all the problem as the free router AC1200 was whole new unit and I format and restore back my server everything but problem still remained. After all I try my best get my old Dlink 2750e configure under this UNIFI setting and connect back to huawei modem and it work way much better and stable than the Dlink AC1200, anyway I find out this 2750e still unstable and need restart frequently 2-3times a day to get stable network connection.

So at that moment I realized the important of getting a better router, I come across Mikrotik router from my friend recommendation. Than I bought a Mikrotik RB3011 rack mount unit to test..... the result I get was I never need to restart the router anymore and network connection works with 0 error and hassle free.

I suggest you all here rather than looking at the DLINK, TPLINK, ASUS or any router in the market, better get a Mikrotik router. This is not a joke, you all will surprise with the RM300+ mikrotik router it work way much better than RM500+ router in the market (in my case my RB3011 cost me RM1000+ that time).

Mikrotik harder to configure but once you get it done you will happy forever.

(Remark : Dlink 2750e will not get the full speed of UNIFI, probably 30+Mbps download and 9+Mbps upload)

Here the setting for Dlink 2750e below, probably some other old modem router still can work with current UNIFI modem. Hope you all benefit from this.

P1 W1MAX In Terengganu Now

Recently I find out that P1 W1max just available in Terengganu Town area. I immediately go to register with doubt because I have been using Streamyx so many years and also suffering so many years since day 1 I use internet. Sure you all understand and agree what I try to describe here. I just hope that this "P1" will surprise me and it is the cure for my pain. But the result just upset me for another time...........

I'm currently using Streamyx Combo 384kb and just get the P1 W1max 400kb online today. Here I would like to post the speedtest result so that all resident in Terengganu may have a guideline whether to choose P1 W1max.

[attachmentid=1070144][attachmentid=1070145]

Youtube performance - Laggy
Webpage loading time - 5-10sec or more to appear
PPStream - Laggy and very slow
Online game (Dota) - totally out
Downloading - inconsistent
RSSI - 60++
Facebook - hardly surf...slow

It is all what I find out. I think I will test it another few days before I return the P1 modem unit to them. It is still got no choice to stick with Streamyx at the moment. It is still consider best of the sux. Come we say it again here.........Malaysia Boleh.........lama lama tunggu lah kawan

Any one from Terengganu may give opinion about P1.

Trancend / Adata SSD drive

I plan to get a SSD drive for my server to run Microsoft Windows XP. My ideal is 32GB / 64GB which I just can find A Data / Transcend around after survey. Any recommendation? Which is better? Price recommendation and specification?

Technical question:
1. It is suitable to run Windows OS and which model?
2. The SATA SSD socket it is compatible with any desktop mobo SATA connector as I never open up 2.5 SATA HDD to check?
3. Installation of OS procedure same with normal IDE/SATA HDD?
4. How good in term of performance and life spam?
5. SLC And MLC what is the different? As I know SLC for OS better and longer life spam?

Any one test it before or own SSD please give me some recommendation and review and also solve my puzzle.

Thanks
[attachmentid=1003329]
[attachmentid=1003332]
[attachmentid=1003338]

Restore / Reinstall Windows XP in Fastest Way

I open up this discussion session for me at the same time also want other able to share the benefit from here. I have found out lot people here suffer from BSOD, virus attack or system crash/unstable issues. If we cant restore/ reinstall completely+driver+software in 10 minute why waste time doing all the trouble shooting job? I have my way to done this job. Just wondering others may have more efficient solution thats is more better.

Also include backup / store important files like Email, document or setting etc......

So lets make it roll and we make this work together ok.
