Let's relax with a few Irish humour

The Irish have solved their own fuel problems – they imported 50 million tonnes of sand from the Arabs
and they're going to drill for their own oil.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My mate's missus left him last Thursday, she said she was going out for a pint of milk and never come back!
I asked him how he was coping and he said, "Not bad, I've been using that powdered stuff."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The police came to my front door last night holding a picture of my wife.
They said, "Is this your wife, sir?"
Shocked, I answered, "Yes."
They said, "I'm afraid it looks like she's been hit by a bus."
I said, "I know, but she has a lovely personality."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Two Irishmen find a mirror in the road.
The first one picks it up and says, "Blow me down, I know this face but I cant put a name to it."
The second picks it up and says, "You daft *******, it's me!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Paddy's in jail. The Guard looks in his cell and sees him hanging by his feet.
"What are you doing?" he asks.
"Hanging myself," Paddy replies.
"It should be round your neck," says the guard.
"I tried that," says Paddy, "but I couldn't breathe."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Two Irishmen are hammering floorboards down in a house.
Paddy picks up a nail, realizes it's upside down & throws it away.
He carries on doing this until Murphy says, "Why are you throwing them away?"
"Because they're upside down," says Paddy.
"You daft prat," replies Murphy, "save 'em for the ceiling!!"
Great quotes by comedians
"If you ever see me getting beaten by the police, put down the
video camera and come help me."
--Bobcat Goldthwait
"I've been doing the Fonda workout: the Peter Fonda workout. That's
where I wake up, take a hit of acid, smoke a joint, and run to my
sister's house and ask her for money."
--Kevin Meaney
"My mom said she learned how to swim. Someone took her out in the lake
and threw her off the boat. That's how she learned how to swim. I said,
'Mom, they weren't trying to teach you how to swim.' "
--Paula Poundstone
"In elementary school, in case of fire you have to line up quietly in a
single file line from smallest to tallest. What is the logic? Do tall
people burn slower?"
--Warren Hutcherson
"I have six locks on my door all in a row. It's like a full-time job, and we should treat
it like one. If your boyfriend or girlfriend wants to leave you, they
should give you two weeks' notice. There should beseverance pay, and
before they leave you, they should have to find you a temp."
--Bob Ettinger
"A study in the Washington Post says that women have better verbal skills
than men. One
day, he took me aside and left me there."
--Ron Richards
"I worry that the person who thought up Muzak may be thinking up
something else."
--Lily Tomlin
"USA Today has come out with a new survey: Apparently three out of four
people make up 75 percent of the population."
--David Letterman
"Chihuahua. Five hundred years without a war.
Pretty impressive. Also pretty lucky for them. Ever see that little
Swiss Army knife they have to fight with? Not much of a weapon there.
Corkscrews. Bottle openers. 'Come on, buddy, let's go. You get past me,
the guy in back of me, he's got a spoon. Back off. I don't
know, her hair was on fire, and all she talked about was herself. You
know these kind of girls: 'I'm hot. I'm on fire. Me, me, me.' You know.
'Help me, put me out.' Come on, could we talk about me just a little
bit?"
--Garry Shandling
"I think that's how Chicago got started. A bunch of people in New York
said, 'Gee, I'm enjoying the crime and the poverty, but it just isn't
cold enough.
The ugly side of GPS AND MOBILE PHONES
GPS AND MOBILE PHONES
With all the new electronic technology - this experience gives all of us something to think about.
GPS
A couple of weeks ago a friend told me that someone she knew had their car broken-into while they were at a Football game.
Their car was parked on the green which was adjacent to the football stadium and specially allotted to football fans. Things stolen from the car included:
a garage door Remote Control,
some money and
a GPS which had been prominently mounted on the dashboard
When the victims got home, they found that their house had been ransacked and just about everything worth anything had been stolen.
The thieves had used the GPS to guide them to the house.
They then used the Garage Remote Control to open the garage door and gain entry to the house.
The thieves knew the owners were at the football game, they knew what time the game was scheduled to finish and so they knew how much time they had to clean out the house.
It would appear that they had brought a truck to empty the house of its contents.
Something to consider if you have a GPS -
don't put your home address in it. Put a nearby address (like a store or gas station) so you can still find your way home if you need to, but no one else would know where you live if your GPS were stolen.
MOBILE PHONES
I never thought of this.......
This lady has now changed her habit of how she lists her names on her mobile phone after her handbag was stolen.
Her handbag, which contained her cell phone, credit card, wallet... Etc...was stolen.
20 minutes later when she called her husband from a Pay Phone telling him what had happened, he said 'I received your text asking about our Pin Number and I've replied a little while ago.'
When they rushed down to the Bank, all the money was already withdrawn. The thief had actually used the stolen cell phone to text 'Hubby' in the Contact List and got hold of the Pin Number.. Within 20 minutes he had withdrawn all the money from their Bank Account.
Moral of the lesson:
Do not disclose the relationship between you and the people in your Contact List.
Avoid using names like Home, Honey, Hubby, Sweetheart, Dad, Mom, etc....
And very importantly, when sensitive info is being asked through texts, CONFIRM by calling back.
Also, when you're being text by friends or family to meet them
somewhere, be sure to call them back toConfirm that the Message came from them.
If you don't reach them, be very careful about going places to meet 'family and friends' who text you.
*PLEASE PASS THIS ON
* I never thought about the above!
As of now, I no longer have 'Home' listed on my cell phone.
A different planet? by Patrick Teoh
The bridge to a different ONEMalaysia?
Whenever I cross the Causeway into Singapore I get the feeling that,
"Wow! This is like a totally different planet, man!"
Or when crossing the other way, "What the f***! Baarger! This is like
a totally different planet, man!"
I am sure you know what I mean, right?
And if you say, "Ale! So good meh?" going one way and "Where got?"
coming the other, then you are:-
a) so blindly patriotic you deserve a medal
b) you've been paid to say "Where got?"
c) you really don't care one way or the other and are awaiting your PR
approval from Australia.
Last week I spent a couple of days in Penang. You know, the island up
north that is managed by those Opposition flers? I knew something was
wrong the minute I crossed over the messy, Federal-funded and built
Penang Bridge.
Eh? How come the Rapid Penang buses all so clean one?
Eh? Aren't those low-cost council flats? How come look so clean and
fresh one? With new coat of paint some more.
How can man? These Opposition flers just know how to complain about
Federal government not giving them enough money to do things, right?
Also they are supposedly marginalising some communities by holding
back development and business opportunities right?
Then how come everybody here looks so happy one? Okay, so 2 days isn't
enough to make a survey worth shit la but I must still admit that I
was impressed man!
Okay, so I shall wait impatiently for some comments to come in after
this telling me, "If you like it so much, move there la. Blaardy
pendatang!" But then it's different from being yelled at to go to
another country. Penang IS in my country. Isn't it? Then how come it
looks and feels so different one? Didn't all the YB's say that those
Opposition flers can't do shit and not to vote for them?
Ah! And then I read in the newspapers that the Penang flers who live
on the mainland are getting free bus rides to work. Some more can park
their cars for RM1.00 the whole day and ride bus to work. Free! Can
do like that meh? Opposition government wor.
Ah! And then ah I also heard the Chief Minister make a speech to an
audience of about 200 people at a book store. Wah! I really tabik the
Lim fler la. Damn best speech I've heard from a politician in years
la. He spoke about Penang and the people's collective efforts in
building a great place to live and work and bring up family all. And
he never once highlighted any one particular community for praise.
All are Penangites and all contribute and share. I tell you ah, after
listening to him and enjoying Penang for 2 days I really felt like
moving there to live la. Friendly, happy people. Malays, Chinese,
Indians, Dll's. Clean environment. Efficient administration. Sun, sea
and surf. What's there not to like? Well, maybe just one thing la. The
property prices there quite terror la. Don't know if can afford. But
then in a place like Penang the rule can always be "If you're prepared
to work hard the rewards are there to be shared". So maybe can.
Somemore no need to apply visa all.
Niamah!!!
Man's Life
1. When I was born, I was given a choice - A big d*** or a good memory - I don't remember, what I chose.
2. Your birth certificate is an apology letter from the condom factory.
3. A wife is a sex object. Every time you ask for sex, she objects.
4. Impotence: Nature's way of saying 'No hard feelings...'
5. There are only two four letter words that are offensive to men -'don't' and 'stop', unless they are used together.
6. Panties: Not the best thing on earth, but next to the best thing on earth.
7. There are three stages of sex in a man's life: Tri Weekly, Try Weekly, and Try Weakly.
8. Virginity can be cured.
9. Virginity is not dignity, its lack of opportunity.
10. Having sex is like playing bridge. If you don't have a good partner, you'd better have a good hand.
11. I tried phone sex once, but the holes in the dialer were too small.
12. Marriage is the only war where you get to sleep with the enemy.
13. Q: What's an Australian kiss? A: The same thing as a French kiss, only down under.
14. A couple just married were happy with the whole thing. He was happy with the Hole and she was happy with the Thing.
15. Q: What are the three biggest tragedies in a mans life? A: Life sucks, job sucks, and the wife doesn't.
16. Q: Why do men find it difficult to make eye contact? A: Breasts don't have eyes.
17. Despite the old saying, ' Don 't take your troubles to bed', many men still sleep with their wives!!
18. People say there is no difference between COMPLETE & FINISHED.... But there is. When you marry the right one, you are COMPLETE....And when you marry the wrong one, you are FINISHED.....and when the right one catches you with the wrong one, you are...COMPLETELY FINISHED
HAVE A NICE DAY!!!
The story about 'subsidy'
The story about 'subsidy' :
A man called Maha owns a farm which can produce 10 apples every day. He has 5 workers to operate the farm. Each of them eats 1 apple daily and it is enough to keep them operating the farm normally.
The remaining 4 apples, the landlord sells them at RM10 each and he earns RM40.
He uses the RM25 to improve the farm operation and facilities.
He gives RM2.00 to each of his workers and he keeps the remaining RM5.00 as profit.
Day by day, the farm is well developed and all of the 5 workers are happy with the money they can save.
When Maha passed away, a new landlord, Abdul, comes to continue the farm operation.
He says to the workers: 'We need to improve the farm quality and redefine our way of thinking. From now on all of you only need to pay RM1.00 for each apple you eat. It is very cheap as the price is RM10 each outside the farm.'
The workers have no choice but to pay RM1.00 for the apple they eat daily. Their earnings decrease from RM2.00 to RM1.00 per person.
As usual, Abdul sells the 4 apples and he gets RM40. He uses RM25 for farm improvement and pays RM10 to his 5 workers. He gets RM5.00 as profit. On top of that, he gets another RM5.00 from the apples that he sells to his workers. In total, he gets RM10 as profit every day.
Now ... soon, the apple price increases to RM20 each.
The new landlord gets a higher profit as he gets RM80 for the 4 apples he sells daily.
Then, he decides to give the farming improvement contract to one of his close friend, Samy.
Samy says: 'Apple cost naik, improvement cost also misti naik.'
So, the farm improvement cost increases from RM25 to RM50. In actual fact, the improvement only cost RM30. The remaining RM20, Abdul and Samy share evenly between themselves.
Let's calculate how much Abdul gets daily:
RM10 (from farm improvement cost)
RM20 (Net profit by selling 4 apples: [Gross profit, RM80] - [Improvement cost, RM50] - [Wages RM10] = RM20)
RM5 (from selling apples to his workers)
In total, Abdul gets RM35 daily compare to RM10 initially when he took over the farm from Maha. His profit increases RM25 and the workers are still getting RM1.00 daily per person.
The greedy Abdul does not want to stop there :
One day, he says to his fellow workers: 'You see ah, the current market price for one apple is RM20 and you are only paying RM1.
See how lucky you are! I have to SUBSIDISE RM19.00 for each of the apple you buy. In total, I need to SUBSIDISE RM95.00 for the apples you buy.
This will greatly burden the farm and we might go bankrupt if we continue like this.
In order to avoid bankruptcy, I need to increase the apple price that you buy from RM1.00 to RM1.50 and I will bear the remaining RM18.50 per apple as my subsidy to you all. '
So, greedy Abdul adds another RM2.50 to his current profit and the number becomes RM37.50.
After you have read the story, I hope you have already understood the meaning of 'SUBSIDY' which has been talk often about by the government.
The Bizarre Behaviour of Singaporeans
The Bizarre Behaviour of Singaporeans
- observations made by a German national who has lived in Singapore for 9 years.
44 years of economic and material success have spawned some very
strange behaviours among Singaporeans.
They spent so much to buy a house or flat, furnished it up like a
palace, but spent their time outside, most of the time at work. And
the maids are the ones enjoying the million-dollar or
multi-million-dollar assets..
Then they pay so much, the highest in the world, for a car only to
park at home. Too expensive to drive, too many ERPs and car park
charges to pay. And they are encouraged to park their cars at home and
take public transport, being cheaper and more convenient.
And when Singaporeans travel, instead of seeing the places, they went
shopping. The best part is that they would head for the cheapest
bargains, buying stuff that they could get in Chinatown or pasar
malam, at even cheaper prices. But they are still happy that they got
a bargain.
And while the heart landers are busy trying to make a life here, being
told to bust off if they are not happy, which they could not, the rich
and presumably very happy and contented citizens are buying up
properties overseas just in case they need to make that escape from
this paradise.
While many Singaporeans are thinking of jumping ship, or preparing to
jump ship, hoards of new immigrants are rushing in to take their place
in this paradise.
And to top it all up, they keep complaining about the govt and all the
policies that they found unpalatable, but come every election, they
will vote and return the govt to power.
Strange Singaporean behaviours!
Civil Servants in Malaysia...Alarming Figures
1. Number of civil servants in Malaysia
2000 - 894,788
2008 - 1.2M
2010 - ? (Should be more)
During 2000 to 2008, increase of 300,000 or each year 38,151 or each day 104.
2. Money spent on salary / remuneration
2005 - RM25.6Billion
2008 - RM41.0Billion (or from each tax payer RM22,800)
An increase of a whopping 60% during 3 years only. If it is private company, sure "bungkus"!
3. Population that pays tax 1.8M
Number of civil servants 1.2M
Meaning every 1.5 tax payer support 1 civil servant.
4. Population Vs number of civil servant. (I believe should be one of the highest in the world)
Country Percentage(%）
Malaysia 4.68
Thailand 2.06
Korea 1.86
Philippine 1.81
Indonesia 1.79
Laos 1.24
Cambodia 1.18
WORDS THAT GET YOU INTO DEEP TROUBLE
Relex Singh was travelling in a crowded bus. He was carrying the passport-size photograph of his son for college admission.
Accidentally, the photograph dropped down from his pocket.
He started searching for it frantically & found it on the floor below the ends of a woman's Saree.
He asked her, "Can you lift your Saree? I wanna take photograph"....
THE REST IS HISTORY.....boommmmm....!!!
Relex Singh was beaten so badly that he had to be admitted to hospital. He was suprised to see Jaswan Singh on the next bed to him in a worse condition.
Jaswan explained what happened to him. He had gone to a remote village to work.He finished work late & missed the last bus. He couldn't find any hotel nearby.
So he approached a nearby house & asked the owner whether he can stay there for a night.
The owner replied "I have 2 grown-up daughters. Sorry, you can't stay here."
Then he approached the next house & asked the owner whether he can stay there for a night.
The owner too replied "I have 3 grown-up daughters. Sorry u can't stay here."
So he went to the next house & asked "Do you have grown-up daughters?"
The owner asked "Why?" and Jaswan replied,"I want to stay for a night."
THE REST IS HISTORY.......boommmmm....!!!
Samy Vellu joke
A good one to laugh out loud.
Samy Vellu and his driver, Muniandy, were cruising along a Sungai Siput country road one evening when an old dog loomed in front of the car.
Muniandy tried to avoid it but couldn't - the old dog was killed. Samy Vellu told Muniandy to go up to the farmhouse and explain to the owners what happened.
About an hour later, Muniandy staggered back to the car with his clothes in disarray. He was holding a bottle of expensive wine in one hand, an expensive Cuban cigar in the other and was smiling happily, smeared with lipstick.
"What happened?" asked Samy Vellu.
"Well," Muniandy replied, "the farmer gave me the wine, his wife gave me the cigar, and their beautiful twin daughters were so happy they kept kissing me!"
"My God, what did you tell them?" asked Samy Vellu.
Muniandy replied: "I'm Samy Vellu's driver, and I just killed the old dog."
Why and how Greece financial collapsed
Someone sent me this information regarding Greece 's financial and am appalled !
These are the why's and how's that this historic and beautiful country came
to grieve.
Bureaucracy: Greece's bureaucracy is famous in the whole of Europe ! To open a cafe or pub there are 25 processes to go through!! This is a country of rules and regulations.
Bloated civil service: There are 1.05 milliion civil servants (excluding police and armed forces) . The population of Greece is only 10 million !! More than 10% are govt servants !! Salary increases every year and benefit for civil servants in Greece is one of the best in Europe !! More and more money is needed to upkeep this bloated civil servants . The retirement age is 62 yrs old.
Corruption: Greece is the most corrupted nation in the Eurozone. Citizens pay "under table " money to:
# admit into a public hospital
# pass a driving licence
# to enter public service
# renovate your business premises or your home
# avoid income tax
Every govt project is awarded to political cronies and at hugely inflated prices ! Transparency International compared the prices of the construction costs of stadiums built for the Athens Olympics recently with similar structures in China --500% more expensive than the Chinese , compared to Los Angeles and Sydney -- 50 % more expensive !!! All these with tax payers money ! and borrowings !!!
Tax evasion: Officially 80% of its citizens are supposed to pay tax but only 37% are doing so. Big businessmen and corporations have refined tax evasion to a fine art ( or have the tax men taken some coffee money ? )
No transparency in governance: The politicians and bureaucrats falsified economic data and painted a rosy and manageable picture while the economy was rotting away .
Unabated borrowings:Meanwhile, the politicians and bureaucrats continue to issue govt bonds to keep afloat, series after series. They were trying to cover up the financial mess they have created creating one big hole to cover up the previous !!
Lacking political will power to reform: To keep hold on to political power, politicians are prepared to lie, commit economic and political fraud. If reforms were taken some five years ago , the country need not go bankrupt and its citizens need not suffer so much. Political expediency and greed to political power over-rides everything and hence Greece is now a bankrupt country. Luckily, it is part of the European Union and its currency is EUROs, otherwise Greeks will have to eat grass to survive !!
Laid back attitude: Tourism is THE ONLY industry in Greece and over the years the Greeks have had an easy time. Many flocked to see the historical sites. enjoy summer vacation on the islands. But they forgot that not many tourists will returned after visiting the sites --there are so many other tourists attractions in the world, maybe more exotic and perhaps cheaper !! So once tourism vanes and couple with higher costs of living --the Greeks could not and refused to adapt and transform --still partying and having a nice time -- maybe the Greek Gods will bless them !!! Greece have no natural resources, no electronics industry , no R & D --no anything !! They were so laid back --cannot see what is coming and crashing down on them. Even now, the civil servants refused to take a pay cut -- the world owes them a living !!
Poignant Conclusion:
The producer of the documentary had hired a raxi driver to go around while doing this documentary. The taxi driver had studied economics for 4 years in US and this was his parting words:
"My biggest mistake was returning 15 years ago, I should have stayed back in US. My nationalist instinct made me returned. The politicians screwed me. I loved my country but my country did not love me !!!!
Friends, I can see a lot of similarity in Malaysia . I need not go into boring details, it is there for all to realise. Unless we transform politically and economically, sadly this day will surely come . It is not IF, but WHEN !!
1MALAYSIA. MALAYSIA BOLEH !!!
Just for laugh
Brenda and Steve took their six-year-old son to the doctor.
With some hesitation, they explained that although their little angel appeared to be in good health, they were concerned about his rather small penis.
After examining the child, the doctor confidently declared, 'Just feed him pancakes. That should solve the problem.'
The next morning when the boy arrived at breakfast, there was a large stack of warm pancakes in the middle of the table.
'Gee, Mom,' he exclaimed. 'For me?'
'Just take two,' Brenda replied. 'The rest are for your father.'
One night, an 87-year-old woman came home from Bingo to find her 92-year-old husband in bed with another woman.
She became violent and ended up pushing him off the balcony of their 20th floor apartment, killing him instantly.
Brought before the court, on the charge of murder, she was asked if she had anything to say in her own defense..
'Your Honor,' she began coolly, 'I figured that at 92, if he could screw, he could fly.'
