last week, my streamyx modem died due to lightning. so a few days later, i bought a new modem, Aztech DSL605E. after installing the modem, my browsing was okay and download speeds from a FEW sites were good. filesharing sites gave me very very slow speeds. although from other sites, i was getting 150+kbps. my ping for call of duty 4 was around 300-400, even to malaysian servers. but i didnt bother as i was about to reformat my pc. now, im still getting the same pings, and also the same download speeds. i suspect its because of my modem, as my old modem was peforming much better. i've tried reseting the modem settings, but no luck. sometimes, the ping for CoD4 slowly increases from 60 to 400. i noticed this when i continuously clicked "refresh servers" in the game. is it possible that my ethernet card is affected from the lightning too? im still getting 150+kbps. i've check my firewall settings, its all good.

Cat missing since 1st of November

During the 1st of November, my whole family except dad went for dinner. When we came back, the cat was missing. Dad said that the cat caught a rat, and was meowing a few times. We thought that maybe she would come back during the middle of the night. The next morning, there was no sign of the cat. We decided to wait till night. Yet, she didn't come back. I took a ride on the motorcycle around the neighbourhood, but I couldn't seem to find her. Its almost going to be a week now, and my cat hasn't return. I'm afraid that she could have been a victim of a road kill, but I didn't see any dead cats on the road. This has been the longest since my cat has left the house, is there any hope for her to come back? It feels very sad to stay at home, as I always think about her. Is there any explanation to this?
