HD Media Player vs Blu-ray Player

Nowadays HD media player are getting better and better, same goes to all the blu-ray players available in the market. One thing came across my mind is that one of my buddy told me to ditch my media player (DVICO TViX Slim) and get a blu-ray player (high end player) to watch all the movie i have (basically most of it were in BDMV format)

Done some research on the internet, some say just go for a media player some say blu-ray player but in the end no one really explain in details what and why or for example specification comparison.

then again...which is better in terms of Picture & sound quality? i do not mind spending a little bit more to get better picture and sound quality.

Wine Cellar - condensation enquiries

Hi All,

I was thinking to construct a wine cellar for my own in my house using double glazing full height glass. The size of my wine cellar is going to be 6 feet x 7 feet x 13 feet height (basically whole wine cellar is made out of glass box like those in restaurant). one thing that concerns me the most is will there condensation on the glass panel even though its a double glazing.

I hope that whoever has experience on this may help me on this, there are few question below and really appreciate it if you can help me on this.

1) approximate size of your wine room
2) where is it located in your house, ground floor or first floor or basement?
3) any direct sunlight
4) room tempreture of your wine cellar? exterior tempreture of your wine cellar?
5) what types of air conditioning are you using?
6) any condensation on the floor or glass? or cabinet?
7) what kind of material u use for your wine rack, any wooden cabinets in it?

I'm converting one of my bedroom in a AV room, i need suggestion from u guys on which 5.1 speaker i should get for myself. Lets not worry about the room design, sound absortion/proofing, cabling, tv, amplifier and etc...coz i aleady have that sorted out.

The size of the room is 10' (D) x 8' 6"(W) x 9'(H).

I've been using my c3 for quite some time, so i went to jalan pasar and get myself a new sets of RCA and speaker cable. Did improve the sound quality A LOT...but still, i wanted more. I hope LYN Forumer can provide me some information and guide me through out my mod.

I'm not a bassheader therefore wat i want is crystal clear sound. anyone out there that ever mod their c3 or know how to mod their c3 pls drop a msg on my post k..thank you.

Characteristic of a Adjustable Absorber

Can some one explain the characteristic of Adjustable? i know it is adjustable according to one's preference, is there any down side of it?

I'm driving wira aeroback 1.3 with stock rim, when i goes around corner my car sway a little and if in high speed it slide a little.so, i was thinking to install sturt bar and do some changes on my suspension system which is the spring n absorber or stabelizer may be....
my best fren offer me his adjustable (din ask for brand) for only rm400 , still in perfect working condition. (money back guaranty)

My question are ...should i go for the adjustable or other absorber which is better than stock. how about sturt bar? of course, i would like to know the characteristic of the adjustable...like maintainence, driving condition, life span...n etc...any info will help...thankz a lot.

CPU uCode Mismatch on e8400

i Just bought a oem e8400 and got the package this morning and then --> installed --> restart ---> screen blank (can't even get into bios)

so i decided to flash(updated to the latest verion 1301) the bios as being taught from the internet which most of them did it and it works just fine.

after i flash my bios ...DISASTER STRIKES .... this sentence appear on my boot up screen CPU uCode mismatch. Please update BIOS and try again.

so i decided to downgrade the bios version to 0901 which claims that will work perfectly in other forums...the weird thing is, no matter which version or how many times i tried to flash the bios (succesfully) it still show the version of the BIOS is on 1301

but when i change it back to my e2160....everything works well ...and log into window, play games just like before...nothing happens...

Can anyone out there provide me some info?

At the beginning i just wanted to take everything out n clean the dust...while i was dismantling my mobo,fans, ram ,proc n etc....i found out my casing was heavily scratched and feel like giving it a new paint...so i started my small little paint job....actually i din plan to post this topic, but on my 2nd thought "Y NOT?" and i missed the 1st few photos...

U can c all the parts are on the floor and my casing was at my balcony...

Too many dust in my PSU...decided to clean them

The whole casing is sent to the CLEANING DEPARTMENT (my toilet)

As u can c here....i've sand certain area of my side panel, becoz those are the area that i accidentaly scartched them

After the cleaning....all of them were left to dry at the balcony...so nothing i can do

Blue Screen after i change my Processor

i just bought a OEM e2160 proc from a forumer...after i install the proc...i kept facing a problem which is blue screen and then restart(Nv OC...stock configuration). after several times of blue screen, i formatted my window (coz its been 1 year i din format my pc)....but after i formated my pc, it is still the same. my pc hang when i was transfering my file from drive to drive..and it happened twice. as soon as tat happens, i search through the web and downloaded a trial version of "BurnInTest"[/B] from this website PassMark Software ....it ran for 15mins and loop for few times..the result was ok....but when i ran it with ORTHOS beta.....it stopped right after 10seconds and says hardware failure.... CAN ANY1 HELP ME ON THIS...I NEED ANOTHER SOFTWARE FOR THE STRESS TEST...pls recommend 1....thank you.
