Question about mortgages for investments

Hello everybody. I own a house with currently valued more than RM1.2mil (let's just assume the value is RM1mil). I am running my own business but I am looking for a steady income by way of investments. So this is what I have in mind:

1) I am planning to mortgage my house to get cash out from it
2) Using that cash to invest (mutual funds, amanah saham etc.)
3) Income from the investment to pay the mortgage
4) And hoping there'll be surplus from that investment as steady income

I do not have any idea on mortgage percentages, and I also do not know which investment is giving the optimum return (and their percentages too)

So I am hoping somebody who has experties in finance/investments can help me out /give me opinion on this. Thanks!

[WTA] Subwoofer / speaker placement

Hello all.

I need a suggestion/advice on my current home theater setup. For this, I have 2 questions:

1) I am planning to add a subwoofer to my current 5.0 system, and basically my setup and my room layout is drawn below:

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

[attachmentid=3734266]

Referring to the attachment, which subwoofer position (sub position 1 or sub position 2) would be appropriate for my room layout? For sub position 1, the sub will be located in L corner wall, while the sub position 2 will be located in an open, wider area than position 1. I am suggesting these 2 positions since these are the only possible area for my subwoofer placement, as the hall already cramped out with bulky sofas and side tables (home minister will definitely get mad if I rearrange the deco ) So I need suggestion on which position will be better for me to place the subwoofer to achieve better sound (acoustically or sonically, hell I am not familiar with technical AV jargon).

2) I am also itching to add another set of speakers to turn into a 7.1 surround system. Looking at my room layout, how can I achieve that? Again, these configuration is the best I can do since I have a few limitations on wall sockets, a lot of furnishes in the hall already (and again my home minister issue) etc. Any thoughts of this?

Appreciate yall inputs. Thanks!

Logitech Webcam C120 Installer Problem

hello all. i encontered with this problem when i was trying to install the newly bought Logitech C120 webcam.

The 1st welcome screen popped out and requested me to select the language and click next to begin the installation. however i cannot find any languages from the dropdown menu, and there was no "next" button as well. when i close down the welcome screen, another screen popped out, asking 'are u sure u want to quit etc" and still no "yes" or "cancel" buttons.

i suspect maybe the installation cd caused me the problem, then i tried to download the installer from it's official website, but the welcome screen still appears with no "next" button. i also tried to plugged in the webcam to let my pc detected it, and install the webcam using device manager, but still no "next" button on the welcome screen.

any idea why this is happening? fyi, i'm running win 7 32bit, pentium 4 2.8ghz, 2gb ram, graphic card's driver and other drivers are all updated, latest adobe flash player and directx installed. please enlighten me on this guys. thanks.

[addedon]December 7, 2010, 11:13 pm[/addedon]bringing up the topic, hoping that someone could help.

One PC vs Two monitors with two different tasks?

hello guys. here's the idea:

i'm going to set up a new PC for my home use, basically for microsoft office apps and some internet surfing. and i'm also going to equip the PC with CCTV surveillance application. My idea is to have two monitors sharing with one PC, 1st monitor is for normal PC use and the 2nd one is for CCTV. i am going to place my PC inside my room, together with 1st monitor for my office work. as for the 2nd monitor, i'm going to mount the 2nd monitor onto the wall at my living room.

here comes the tricky part: is it possible to split the screen appearance? i mean, the 2nd monitor in the living room keeps showing the CCTV application while im inside the room doing my MSWord apps? If it's possible, what should i do? what should i add in? i have once heard about the dual CPU, but i have no idea about it. and one more thing, where can i get the 10ft VGA cable? its for connecting my PC with the 2nd monitor at the living room. Please advice. Thanks!
