My 3DS recently has been spazzing out, with the unit turning itself off abruptly if you bump it the wrong way. Can anyone recommend a shop that specialises in repair? KL/Kajang area, if possible.

Unifi L-7 router

Actually this is a pretty simple problem. I somehow managed to lose my password to the router that has been provided by TMNet.

Is there any way to reset it, short of a hard reset and having to beg for the Unifi password from TMNet?

(No, it's not the default tmnet password. I already changed that.)

Wargaming Acquires GPG

Life in the Insurance Industry

Hello. This is my first time posting here. (with good reason, I just started working after all.)

A little bit about my current situation. I have just recently graduated from University Malaya with MBBS. Yeah, that's the doctor degree to you guys who do not know this acronym.

Right now, I'm undergoing my housemanship at a general hospital, and yes, it can be considered to be hell on this side of earth. Since I was never really interested in going into the clinical side of Medicine to begin with, I have been considering quitting for quite some time, but I am still wavering on what to do once I do quit. No, do not tell me to stay on, I have made up my mind regarding that. The long hours and amount of red-tape I have to wade through daily is quite enough to turn me off.

One of the options presented to me thus far was joining the insurance industry, either as a medical underwriter or as a claims investigator. I have read up the basic job descriptions for these, but it would be nice if someone more experienced would shed some more light regarding these jobs.

I'm surprised this news hasn't broke here yet, but I been reading up about Origins (in preparation for Mass Effect 3) and came across this highly disturbing article.

PS3 Controllers and stuff

Okay, I don't stop by this forum often though I have a PS3. Anyway, I require advice.

Here's the deal.

My PS3 had laid untouched for six months or so due to my frenzy of PC games as well as a conspicuous lack of time. Now that my brother is here (school holiday), he wants to play the PS3.

Problem?

The USB charging cable for my PS3 controllers was chewed on by rats/vermins somehow. No problem I say. I go and buy a RM40 replacement cable (non-original) to recharge my controller's battery. Which is where I run into my second problem.

The controllers. Do. Not. Charge. At all. Sure, they work when plugged directly with the USB cable, but otherwise are dead as a duck in water when I unplug the cable. Leaving it to charge with the cable overnight does not seem to work, and even with the cable, it still drops connection occasionally. It's getting annoying.

Okay, so question. Is is the cable fault or my controllers' fault? If so, what is recommended to fix this? (Ugh, I hope I don't need to replace those controllers. Expensive like hell.)

SpaceChem is a puzzle game.
SpaceChem is a damn good puzzle game.
SpaceChem will make you weep trying to recreate benzene from methane.

So, here's the deal.

I have this HP Pavillion dv6500 for 4 years now. Graphic card recently went berserk which started shooting coloured lines all over the place and giving me a BSOD upon opening any youtube video. Now it has graduated to just giving me a BSOD upon reaching the login screen.

Question, is it still possible to repair this? If so, how much and what is needed. (From what I can tell from google-fu, i can either "bake" or replace the whole mobo.)

Does OS affects network connections?

Hi there, I'm a new user in Lowyat.NET. Forgive me if I posted this in the wrong section, I'm still learning my way around.

Anyways........ Here's the deal:

I have 2 PC at home, one running Win XP SP1 (didn't bother to update) and one laptop running Win Vista Home Premium. Ok, the weird thing is, the laptop running Win Vista has a very weird (and annoying problem) of having a delay of 0.5-1 second or so when accessing the web. Even websites which I visit frequently. It gets annoying when I want to click through a page quickly and find that I have to wait 1 second for it to load. Same goes for online gaming. No virus found yet. (I don't know, I used avast! to scan.)

Whereas the same websites on my older (Win XP) com load much faster and almost instantaneously for cached websites. More responsive to be put simply.

Now, the only thing difference between the 2 coms I can think of is the OS. Network cards shouldn't be a problem right? If anyone has an idea to what's the problem, I am very much interested to know.
