CMOS boot loop

Hi having some issue with CMOS battery low even after replacement.
Long story short, I have 1 faulty machine and 1 completely fine running machine, both are of similar AM3 build.

Specs of the faulty machine: (suspected mobo/ram slot faulty)
AMD X4 635
Asus M4A88T-M/USB
Kingston 4gb ram
Crucial 128gb SSD
Samsung F3 1TB
Asus GT220
FSP 500w PSU

Specs of the working fine unit: (boots fine all working good)
AMD X2 550
MSI 760GM-P33
Corsair 4gb ram
Samsung F3 1TB
Palit GT220
Gigabyte 390w PSU

I have done the transplant SSD/PSU from the faulty machine and combine with the one working fine,

Combines specs 1:
AMD X2 550
MSI 760GM-P33
Corsair 4gb ram
Crucial 128gb SSD
Samsung F3 1TB
Palit GT220
FSP 500w PSU

once every start it prompts 'CMOS batt low' I remove and re-insert the CMOS on mobo,
same thing occur after new CMOS battery replacement,
when I shut down or restart the machine, it jumps to boot loop with no 'beep' sound or display on screen,
need to off the power switch let it rest awhile and reset the CMOS then it will boot again.

After that, I swapped the FSP 500w PSU out with the existing Gigabyte 390w PSU,

Combines specs 2:
AMD X2 550
MSI 760GM-P33
Corsair 4gb ram
Crucial 128gb SSD
Samsung F3 1TB
Palit GT220
Gigabyte 390w PSU

CMOS issue still occur but higher chance of skipping boot loop, just F2 and continue and I will get into window.

Any user with similar experience mind to shed some light?

Bootable USB wont run

Hi suspecting something wrong with my system,
specifically motherboard issue as it has been around 4 to 5 years of age,
it all started with windows crashed BSOD etc,
tried removing the battery on the motherboard and reset the time,
but every time I boot it asks me to reset it again,
and I have already set the boot priority to USB instead of my SSD containing OS Windows 8.1,
but it just wont load the bootable inside the USB drive,
tried the bootable USB on another working PC, if I set to boot USB first that drive will load into Windows installation.

However, it keep on going to the bsod screen with boot file missing etc etc ending with number like xxx000000428,
it is because my SSD containing a corrupted OS and I should wipe everything in the SSD first?

System specs as below
CPU: AMD X4 635
MOBO: ASUS M4A88T-M/USB3
RAM: 2X2GB Corsair
GC: ASUS G210
OS Drive: Crucial M500 120GB
Storage: 1TB Spinpoint F3

How much per pack is expected per kg?
And what is the general name call for clay soil in Chinese/Malay?

Check engine light

Hi all,
few weeks back my kenari has experienced engine shut off/seifo when I reverse and drive at slow condition like crossing a bump,
managed to restart the engine on the spot and drive like normal,
got this issue resolved with the throttle body replaced, engine idle seems to be higher and engine won't shut off anymore.

As for recently, when I'm stucked in traffic jam with gear in D and brakes fully applied,
the check engine light will illuminate/blink but engine did not shut off,

same issue when I reverse where I jaga the brakes when parking,
all of this situation above occur when the a/c is on,
whenever I see the engine light illumination, turning off the a/c or shift to neutral gear the engine light will not show anymore.

Would like to seek some suggestions on what is probably going on before I visit the workshop again, thanks in advance.

PC-Monitor Problem

Hello all,
I am facing some monitor issue with the PC,
which have been running on DVI cable for like 2 years,
then now it doesnt recognise my screen resolution when I rebooted it,
tried with another DVI cable from another working PC, still not recognizing the resolution,
so I tried connecting with VGA instead, it is working on the appropriate resolution but there are some streak of waviness going on,
the PC and monitor are placed at sturdy surface, definitely no knock or etc causing this

My PC specs
Monitor: Acer S222HQL
CPU: AMD Phenom II 550 BE
RAM: Corsair 4gb
PSU: Gigabyte 390W
Graphic: Palit GT220
HDD: Samsung F3 1TB

running on windows 7 home premium edition with all drivers installed,
kindly advice what can be done to solve problem above, thanks in advance

*edit: tested with 2 VGA cables same waviness exist, both cable are of unknown age

Hello HW Q&A,

Initially I'm running a Samsung 19" at 1440x900 resolution via VGA port from motherboard,
after a lightning struck that my fuse jumped,
after restarting the PC my resolution are being reset to 1024x768, it looks distorted,
and the display model is labelled Generic Non PNP Monitor, and there is no 1440x900 resolution choice,
tested the Samsung 19" to my second PC it works perfectly for both VGA/DVI port,
hence I swapped the Acer 21" from second PC to the first PC that was running during the lightning,
it did not offer 1920x1080 resolution as an option as well,
I tried to uninstalling and reinstalling the latest driver for my onboard graphic,
tried using another VGA cable as well,
but the outcome is the same, distorted resolution and Generic Non PNP Monitor.

My system specifications list are:
AMD Phenom II X2 555 BE
MSI 770G-P33
4GB Ram
1TB HDD
no graphic card (running onboard ATI Radeon 3000)
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

Any solution regarding this matter?
Possible a fried VGA port on my motherboard?

Lets say I have completed a year 1 engineering degree subjects in UTAR,
would like to transfer to another university to continue a similar engineering course in HELP,INTI etc,
is it possible to transfer my existing year 1 subjects to continue as year 2 in the new uni?

Temperature after HSF cleaning

Hi newb here,
excuse me if I've posted this topic at wrong place.

just now when I was cleaning my intel stock hsf by my ownself for the 1st time,
then the leg of the plastic thingy, transparent part of 1 leg broke off,
and now I've installed the hsf back and now I'm using it,
so far nothing bad happen yet,
and I wanna ask,
1. will the hsf fall off by it own in the future?
2. my temperature normal or not?
