Hi all, recently been quoted MRTA from a bank (to be incorporated into my home loan) for total amount RM49k.

MRTA Tenure: 32 years
Loan Amount: RM 1.03 mil.

Is this MRTA reasonable?

The MRTA is a bundled together with the loan to get that specific interest. I asked for waiver but cant, so assuming i am going with this package, can i know if this MRTA amount is reasonable or overpriced?
The cheapest countries in the world to board a flight from have been revealed
You'll love this if you're a globetrotter.

Jetsetters of the world may want to take note of this, as a flight comparison website has revealed which countries are the cheapest and which are the most expensive to fly out of.

Kiwi.com looked at domestic and international flights from 75 of the world’s most frequently visited countries, calculating an average ticket cost per 100/km of travel.

They examined both low-cost and full-service airlines, both in peak and off-peak times to compile an Aviation Price Index.

India is the cheapest country to fly out of in the world.
According to their data India wins hands down, with a domestic flight costing on average $3.09 per 100km and international costing just $4.83 per 100km.

Coming in at second place was Malaysia, where a flight out of the country will cost you $3.16 per 100km for domestic travel and $2.88 per 100km for international travel.

It was a bit of a price jump for third place as travellng from Russia will set you back $9.60 per 100km for domestic travel and nearly half the prince for international travel, which comes in at $4.35 per 100km.

Fourth on the list was Portugal, followed by Indonesia, and Azerbaijan.

Rounding off the top ten were South Africa, Algeria, Philippines and Sweden.

Interestingly the United Arab Emirates	was last on the list, with domestic travel costing $247.74 per 100km and international travel costing $13.38 per 100km.

Second last was Finland coming after Qatar and The Netherlands. The full list can be viewed here.

Kiwi.com CEO Oliver Dlouhý said: “Understanding the least expensive countries from which to fly brings immense value to travellers when planning their next getaway.

"The public may never understand how and when flight tickets change in price; however, they now know which countries allow them to travel further on a budget."

Source: https://au.be.yahoo.com/travel/a/32605434/t...revealed/#page1

WTA Condo Reno (Basic)

Hi all,

I just bought a condo (subsale) measuring around 1200sqf.

The condo is slightly furnished (with aircons in all rooms, and living hall, toilet has already been furnished albeit basic furnishings) The overall condition of the condo is quite ok apart from some normal wear and tear (the side skirting on the floor was made by wood, so it sort of torn off) which needs to be touch up. The unit is around 10 years old.

Due to budget constraint, i am planning to just budget RM10k for renovation. (not including beddings, furnitures, fridge, wardrobes and all movable items, as they are all bought by my parents )

So the RM10k will be focussing on perhaps just re-painting or putting up some wallpapers?

I need an opinion on this whether RM10k is sufficient to paint and perhaps make the unit looks newer. Though i doubt its enough for plaster ceiling.

Please help!!
Guys, i'm kinda noob in connecting this type of thing. I'm buying a 2.1 soundbar and the soundbar comes with an Optical Output and also 1 HDMI in and 1HDMI out.

Basically this is my situation:

1) My LED tv does not have any optical output.
2) The TV only has 2 HDMI IN and also Red/White jack (Analog). There's no HDMI out or whatsoever.
3) I have a hypp tv box and also media player box.

Can anyone suggest how do i connect all these to my tv and the sound project from my sound bar?

I have done some googling and saw some suggestion such as:

1) Buying a HDMI Switch and connect (using HDMI cable) the Hypp TV and media player into it.
2) Then from the HDMI Switch, connect to my TV (using another HDMI Cable)
3) At the same time, connect the Switch (using optical cable) to my sound bar Optical output.

Will this work?

Is there any other alternatives?

Thank you!!

<WTA>Building a gaming desktop (normal gaming)

Hi guys,

I bot a customize desktop few months back based on peoples recommendation here. So now, i'm intending to get a desktop that is sufficient for me to play some games. (Budget, if possible, keep it below 2k -2.5k, possible? Lower the better!)

I'm not a hardcore gamer, the games i will be playing will most probably be FIFA, PES, and at best Dota 2 or some other similar online game.

Need help on how to build a rig sufficient for all these.

I'm not really knowledgeable with the parts available, so i'm gonna depend on you guys!

Initially wanted to get a desktop from Dell (Alienware), but before deciding that, i rather trust people from here first!

Thanks!

Also, slightly drift away from the topic. What about Mac Mini? If i were to install Windows on it, will it be able to run the games i mentioned above?

Complain against jin^manusia

Forumer you are complaining against: jin^manusia

Item being sold/bought: Service to clear summons

Original thread link: He doesnt post a thread about this service

Date of transaction: October 17

Details of the complaint : Ignore my contact after first few replies and he hasn't clear the summons.

I know this may not be legitimate to even post it here. But i just wanted to try my luck as i've contacted jin^manusia to help me clear my summons. In fact, his name is circulated around lyn that seems to say that he is the person to deal with when it comes to summons.

He even put it as his ciggy and stated clearly this is the service he provides.

I have requested to clear a summon on Oct 17 and transferred RM 120 to his account on the day itself. The summon was RM 150 and he pmed me that he can clear it.

After few days, there was no replies at all from him, and my summon in MYEG is still there.

After some constant pm-ing, he finally replied that he was away on holiday and will try to proceed asap. If he cant proceed he will refund the money and ask me to provide my bank account just so he can do a refund. He still seems legitimate that time so i told him to do it asap as i will be away as well.
So he informed me that he proceeded on Oct 23. He even replied me and say it is already proceeded and will be cleared in 2-3 days.

Until now, it is still there and he is not replying my messages at all.

I'm not trying to be sour grape because i lost RM 120. But i just hope that by putting this down, those that has intention to clear with him think twice before hand.

I believe he even mentioned before that a moderator/staff approached him to clear summons.

Need advice on Car Tint

Hi /k,

This happen quite sometime back last year when i first got my car. My dad installed some cheapo brands of tint on my car and i realized the workmanship was poor resulting in my rear windscreen affected by the tint.

Basically, when i look into the rear mirror, the uneven tint makes the whole rear windscreen blurry and sometimes dizzy.

I dont know how to describe it and i'm trying my luck here to find a solution.

I went back to the shop and asked them to fix it the moment i realized this.

First, they say is very risky to remove it, as it will affect the heater line and antenna line, so they RECOMMEND to put extra one layer of tint, and PROMISE it will be fine.

After applying the second tint, it was slightly better but the view is still blurry and dizzy looking from the inside of the car.

I went back and the guy insist he cant do anything and ASK me to look for someone who can fix this. (yea i know it sounds ridiculous).

I have no choice and look around but really... there's no one who knows how to deal with this.

Few days ago, i went back to the same shop and demand them to remove it, and replace the whole windscreen if the heater lines and antenna lines are broken.

He sort of unwilling (bear in mind he admitted his mistake), but after some arguments, he just ask me to bring my car this week and he will tear it off slowly.

My question is:

Should i go ahead or not?

I'm worried he might just do nothing in the event the tearing of tint didnt work out...

Suggestion please!!

Accident on Highway

Hi /k,

I just got involved with an accident on North South Highway. Car in front of me emergency break and switch to the middle lane and sped off. I was behind him and i quickly break and managed to slow down in time. However, the car behind me hit my back bumper, and the car behind his hit his back bumper. Basically a 3 car pile up.

Some tow truck fellow ask us to make police report, in between requested me to give some duit kopi, since they are helping me to lodge a report. I insist that is not my fault, why should i fork out the money just to tell the truth?

Anyhow, waited with my gf and convoy together to the Balai Polis Nilai to make a report.

At the station, i describe the incident to the police and they recorded and put it in the police report. Basically just state that the car behind me hit my back bumper.

However, i was not given a police report but just a receipt stating the report number and some personal particulars. The police says that i need to go to Balai Polis Mantin to get the report tomorrow.

After that, i just went off after the police took my car and the person's car photos and i just went off. The second car and third car proceed with their police report but i wasnt there to witness it.

May i ask:

1) In this situation, who is at fault?

2) I didnt get the police report at the spot, but just a receipt stating those i mentioned above. Is that right?

3) Is it possible for them to amend the police report because i have signed it and i wasn't allowed to even take a photo to keep it as a record?

4) what happen next?

Appreciate so much for the information as this happen quite late at night and i just don't know what to do.

And the tow truck guys didnt collect the money from me in the end. I wonder why....

Parking at LCCT Safe?

Hi all,

I'm flying off from LCCT next week for few days and thought of parking at the airport instead of taking a cab to and fro.

Just wondering, is it safe to park there for 3 days?

Anyone here park before for that amount of duration?

Ohh, another question. Is it possible that the airport will run out of parking? As i'm flying off at 10.30p.m, i'm worried that it will be peak hours when i arrive LCCT if i decided to drive and park.

Thanks!!

Wall next to basin

Hi,

I am pretty new in this and i got this problem in my apartment. The basin in the toilet is right next to a wall and every time i wash or uses the basin, the wall will get wet.

And everytime i have to wipe it so that it wouldnt damage the wall in the long run. The wall is not of bricks and most likely be made of some thin wood or something.

Any idea how to curb this? Like getting something to stick on to the wall so that the water will not splash onto the wall?

Sorry im a bit noob. I hope you guys understand what i mean...

Thank you all!

Resignation Situation

I tried to look through the Resignation Handbook's topic and thought of posting there but there seems to be quit inactive lately. Apologize if this is posted at the wrong place.

I'm asking this on behalf of a friend who is planning to resign soon.

Her agreement states that she needs to give 2 weeks notice if she ever wants to resign. She planned to resign on Monday, which is 13th February, technically she needs to work 2 more weeks and her last working day is 24th of February.

However, she actually advanced her annual leaves for 6 days.

Can i know what will be the outcome?

1) Does she needs to pay for the 6 days after working for 2 weeks? (Work 2 weeks, get paid for 2 weeks, but deduct 6 days off from the 2 weeks pay)

2) Or can she actually work 2 weeks + 6 more days?

If option 2 is possible, will she get paid for the 6 more days?

Sorry it sounds a bit stupid but i'm quite confused now.

Thanks everyone!

First Home - Ritz Perdana 2, DP

Hi everyone,

I'm a newbie in buying property. Just started work for 1 year plus and wanted to buy a property for my own stay instead of paying rent.

I'm staying in DP area and would prefer to stay around here as it is convenient to my work place.

I came across a few advertisements about this Condo, wondering is it a good buy for first home?

The price is high for a service apartment, but i am considering the location as it is quite convenient to work, to malls, and other amenities.

Please comment on this condo and if i'm not mistaken, the occupancy at this condo is quite low?

Thanks in a million.
