went to Imbi Plaza today to send my laptop for repair. after i'd gone home, i realized that they might had changed my LCD (which had nothing to do with the parts that broke down).

mine had a permanent scratch on the screen, an XGA with 1024 x 768 resolution.

this stranger on my laptop is an SXGA with 1400 x 1050 resolution, but the screen is yellowish and the font gets so blurry if i set the resolution any lower.

i hate it.

please don't spank me, i just need help. should i keep this yellowish SXGA or should i threaten for my scratched XGA back?

scammer mertcury aka wohyohh in ebay

i'd like to apologize because this is my first post, and i'm already talking about a transaction that is not even made here but rather, ebay.com.my.

a buyer had posted about him in ebay forums, and some other victims had responded, but the post had been deleted as it was against ebay's policy. the only other victim i contacted was not as cooperative, and another is in KB so i'm alone right now. i didn't know who else had been conned by the same seller.

this seller's username was mertcury. his real name is Sharol bin Razali, IC number 770921-05-5541, Ambank credit card account number 5267487800010593. after he got 3 negative ratings, he changed his username to wohyohh, and wohyohh is not a registered user so i guess ebay has suspended him, only ebay has not given me any notice whatsoever regarding this.

i requested for his info from ebay. look what i got:

what happened was this. about one week ago i was looking for mobile phones online when i saw this. i believed it 'cos the listing stated that it was a used item, and when the images did work, they looked like they'd been taken by the seller himself. before that i'd sent a message through ebay asking the condition of another mobile phone. he said that the mobile phones were imported, used ones from the UK and came with 3 months warranty from him. yup, too good to be true. call me stupid whatsoever, but i was smitten. at that time he had 11 positive ratings if i wasn't mistaken, 100% feedback. fyi, i've never gotten cheated in lelong.com.my and i'd bought lots of things there. i honestly didn't know that ebay Malaysia was plagued with conmen.

so i bid for the Nokia on 21/01/2008, and two hours before the listing was supposed to end, he closed the auction. i thought i was lucky that he let me won. i sent him payment the next day through interbank GIRO transfer. since 23/01 was the Thaipusam celebration, i thought he would send me the item on Thursday, and i would receive it on Friday. on Thursday, i e-mailed him asking when he would send me the item, but he didn't reply. on Friday, someone had left a negative rating. so i e-mailed him again asking him whether he ever got my e-mails at all and when did he intend to send the item. this time he replied. he said he had e-mailed me again and again, that he had sent the item, and he offered a full refund if the item still didn't reach me on Monday the 28th. i sent him another e-mail asking for the tracking ID of the item but he didn't reply that.

in a few days his feedback plummeted to 80% with 3 negative ratings.

well someone posted on ebay forum on 26/01 that this seller was a conman. so i knew my money was gone. now the post had been deleted. would ebay help us? i don't think so. i want to report this to the police, Ambank, FOMCA, MyCERT, and Tribunal Tuntutan Pengguna, but i can't do this alone, especially to the first two. i want to go as a group. i want his victims to cooperate. i want my money back. i want to freeze his account. i want him to go to jail, or pay a gigantic amount of fine!

i tried tracing his IP through the e-mail he replied to me, but it led back to Adelaide, Australia. and i hope his victims would google about him and find this. i'd created a blog regarding this person. another buyer had also listed this matter as auction items, 'cos the post about the seller in ebay forum had been deleted.

please, please help me dig more info about this guy. i tried SPR, PDRM, JPA, but nothing came up.
