Hi there, anyone done PVA before ?

I got rejected in AZ PPV due to my allergy history and I was required by the doctor in the PPV to do PVA but 2 months had passed, and mysejahtera still stuck at the 'require PVA' stage as attached.

Called JKJAV 3 weeks ago and she just told me to wait update. I got no letter from the PPV.

Anyone can advise?

Hi, my new company HR asked me to fill up a form of my total gross salary, PCB & total epf of my previous companies.

Isit a norm? The form he asked me to fill up is called as BORANG PCB/TP3 (1/2013)

I thought this form is between me and income tax depart. Since when my new company HR need to know about this?

Hi guys, what does it means when your future employer takes 3 month since the first interview to present you a offer letter ? Do you feel annoyed for waiting so long?

Let's make it this way:
2nd interview conducted 2 weeks after the 1st interview.
3rd interview is also 2 weeks after 2nd interview
After 4 weeks, employer request for compensation details & background check
After 2 weeks, offer proposal approved and medical check up requested.
After 2 weeks, offer letter presented.

Is it a Norm?

Anyone encounter such situation before. This is my first job and I'm looking for a second job, since I dont have any manager to put as referral, my future employer asks me to put my current manager as referral. Do you think is right?

Dear Sifu, I'm currently doing sales job and driving 12 yrs old Wira Manual 1.5 in Klang Valley. I'm having leg pain due to jam and thinking to change to auto.

My Wira still in excellent condition but the downside is manual. Don't wanna waste extra to trade in for another auto car. So would like to ask sifus here how much it cost to convert the transmission for wira and what's the risk ?

I have one mechanic friend he converted his BMW transmission to auto and within 1 day the car gone case. I'm afraid same things happened to my wira.

I just hope my wira can stand for another 5 years then I'm more financial ready to change a higher end car. Thanks.

Hi, need advice on this.

I went to interview for a job related to my degree in company A.

Offer package 1600(basic)+500(allowance)+800~1400 (incentive).

Job scope: Consultation. Mon-Fri (10-6). Need to work on 2 saturdays monthly (full day), annual leave will be added if work on saturdays. Work in different outlet everyday.

Will receive update next week whether i'm hired or not and I need reply on the spot.

However, I'm more interested in Management Trainee program (marketing) in company B but I did not do well in my online assessment and hiring procedure is long.

If between the job offer from A & B, i definitely choose B. But the uncertainty of getting the job from B make me worry.

Company A is my second choice, B is my first choice. Company A (second choice) can give me confirmation earlier than B.

What should I do if company A hired me ? Should I reject and wait for B ? I might be end up rejected by B and get nothing. Or take the job offer and forget about company B ?

Please advise. Thanks.

Is Form 6 a right path to IPTA ?

I'm ex sixth former (finished my STPM in 2009) and enrolled into IPTA in 2010 (one of the research uni).. The reason I choose F6 because:

1. I don't know what to study for my degree
2. Cheap (for studying form 6 & Uni)

In my time, there's still quite a number of people get into Research Uni (UM, UKM, UPM, UTM, USM) via F6, but their chance are lesser than Matriculation of course. But still manage to get in and get their ideal choice.

However, now, seeing the new batch coming in, there's so little Sixth Former (less than 10 in a program) among them. Most of them are Asasi or Matriculation. I'm wondering where are those sixth former went ? Probably those lower class IPTA (eg. (UMT, UMP, Unimas, UMS...)

So I keep wondering is F6 a good choice to get into IPTA NOW? Since now UPU becoming 4+8+1, is a big probability to get into IPTA but not into research uni.

For those students that want to get into those Research Uni, I advise you better think of another alternative (eg. Asasi or Matriculation)

I know another alternatives really depend on luck, but I just think that get into research uni via F6 is very slim chance now. Just hope you all reconsider again.

Convocation Season = Bankrupt season ?

Being a student myself, every time comes to convocation season, my wallet is like onion to me. When I opened it, I'll cry This is because from my first year, I have to give my share to my final year senior convocation gifts. Ok, my university really emphasise on seniority, like it or not, even though you don't have any friends for you to attend their convocation, you still need to prepare some budget for your senior's gifts.

The best way to save : don't go any convocation. Well, basically, if you are not anti-social, you still have to attend your friends' convocation. For me, I'll get embarrassed if I didn't bring anything to attend. At first I did go with empty hands, but when I reached there, I saw so many people bringing flowers, doll, presents to attend, I'll try to get some cheap (cheapest also RM12) gifts nearby to look not so awkward.

Now, I learnt my lesson. Instead of repeating the same scenario for so many years, why not DIY ? I'm not good in DIY, so I asked my friends who facing the same scenario with me to help. And for the last convocation, we did save alot and everyone is happy including my wallet.

How about other university/college students ? Convocation Season = Bankrupt season ? What's your solution ?
