Dear all Sifus here,

I'm not well verse in this topic.

Can Pioneer HTP AJ329 speaker (6 ohm) sets work well with other brand AVR 5.1 ?

This 2nd hand set is without the ori AV VSX-323k, only 5,1 speakers and can my Denon AVR-1708 match the 6 ohm speaker set from Pioneer HTP-AJ329?

Denon 1908, where to repair?

Greetings to all the sifus here !

I need your support, thanks.

Yesterday, my Denon 1908 (bought end 2008) failed to power up, now when switch ON, the Power button blink "RED" once (and no display or anything) and the Manual said my Denon might be in protection failure mode!

Anyone know how and where to send it for repair?

Also how much will in cost?

Astro or TV problem?

Dear Sifus,

Need your comment and advice.

Just replaced my old LCD to a new Plasma LG 50PM4710.

But, now I noticed there are about 10 blur lines or distorted pixel horizontal (appear at same location) when watching Astro SQ. (no Astro HD)

It is not in straight lines and the pixel inside these lines appear to be blurred or with bigger pixels.

However, it was picture perfect and clear when watch BD and LG Apps/Internet. (no such distortion)

Therefore, I think it is not the plasma screen problem or I could be worng?

And I've replaced the AV cables thrice. (red, white & yellow)

Could it be Astro decoder, the satellite dish or interference issue?

Any idea?

Dear Sifus,

My current old ATI Radeon X300 in not working well therefore I plan to buy a new GPU.

My budget is around RM 200 - 300.

Since I'm not that "techie and updated" on the best GPU, can someone recommend me the "ideal" GPU ?

I'm not into high end 3D games but maybe playing old games eg. 2004-2007 games only.

My PC is a P4, 3GHz, 1 GB RAM only. (with just 1 PCI-e port and normal LCD monitor, not HD type)

Graphic card problem or driver?

Dear Sifus,

This is my 1st writing in with a problem, sorry.

PROBLEM :
My Windows characters, text, Start button, and 3D game (eg Call of Duty2) have many dots on top of is, making it difficult to read.
The Windows background is good, (no pixelized) and viewing JPG is OK but viewing Windows own text screen, eg at the top bar, or side bar NOT GOOD.

ACTIONS :
I tried reinstalling WinXP OS and download all the available ATI drivers from the Internet but the problem persist.

HARDWARE :
OS = Windows XP, Service Pack 2
RAM = 1.5G
GPU = ATI Radeon X300/500, 256M

What could be the problem?

Or the MS that come with a MS Adapter?

Can I use M2 for PSP ( + adapter) and also the same M2 for handphone?

Should I buy the Sony MS or any other MS with adapter?

What the different between MS and MS with adapater?

Faulty Denon 1909?

Dear Sifus,

Since last week, my Denon AVR having the below problems or could it be other equipment?

- after playing DVD or CD Audio for about 1/2 an hour, the AVR suddenly output very loud sound of "shhh, krak krak" till I have to power OFF the AVR.

- while the DVD player (Pioneer) is playing with its display showing the time lapse running as usual. (no freezing or hang)

- sometimes, my LCD-TV blink display errror message "No input signal " in about every 2 second and the AVR keep on "switching". While my Pioneer-DVD red HDMI LED keep on blinking and my Denon output sound for 1 second, then goes quiet, then output sound for 1 sec and repeatly.

Also, I noticed, if I did not switch ON (or OFF) my LCD-TV, just the DVD player and AVR, no such symptons found but just the sudden "shh krak krak " sound after more than 30min running.

If I directly connect my DVD player to LCD-TV, no such symptons found.

DVD --->HDMI--- Denon AVR --->HDMI---> LCD TV.

To the sifus here,

I am at lost here to troubleshoot further.

What do you think? My AVR spoilt? LCD-TV? Or cabling?

I just bought a 40" LCD TV and wanted to view a clear & nice demo video at home,

Coz the Astro pictures are no good, (even my aerial TV reception better than Astro) and DVD is just OK but not full screen (unless change pic size)

Does anyone know where I can buy or download a "demo" CD either from Samsung or Sony or Hitachi or Sharp or Philips etc?

It made me feel better after paying so much for the LCD TV!
