Buying a 2nd Hand HP Guide

Hi all,

I am planning to get a 2nd hand Nokia N82. Found a decently priced one from a shop in LYP.

First off, I had never bought a 2nd hand HP, most of my previous phones are just hand me downs, or new phones. Therefore, I do not really know what checks and tests to perform when buying a new phone to ensure that the phone is working fine.

Could anyone share with me on what and how should I check to ensure the phone is 100% in good working condition?

I saw the phone today, planning to get it tomorrow, so need some pretty quick feedbacks! .

So far, tested the camera, made some calls, bluetooth all OK. Was not able to test WiFi as there were no available public access.

What else should I test and check? Also, how do I check when the phone was first activated? I remember we need to press some kind of numbers...but I forgotten what is it....

Maybe this thread could be used as a guide to help others whom are looking to get a 2nd hand HP, but not knowing what to check and test before buying. I tried searching for such a guide/thread, but nuable to locate any yet....

Event Management

As stated, i might be intrested in taking up event management...

so far, i only know that Sunway College offering this course, but its juz a Diploma.

Basically, i enjoy organizing events n etc...i would say i hav successfully organized a few functions...trips..n etc..

But, i always thought dat, any tom d*** or harry could do thus event management thingy.

Recently, i realise i hav probs with my current course, Accounting. I chose accounting because it is a professional degree, and your future is somewhat secure.

But i hav talked to some ppl, they asked me what i just LOVE to do...i recall dat i enjoy organizing events n etc...so, MAYBE, i thought dat, i could take up a course in dat...something which i actually enjoy doing!

So, anybody know any reputable colleges/university offering this course?

What is YOUR opinion? Is it true dat this field is not worth it? Coz, maybe it is true...anybody could do it..? Please do drop by n give ur opinions...thanks in advance!

I hope i dont step on anyones tail here....but i apparently found, well, i dont know how...but i juz found dat someone is trying to "copy" empire23..or sumthin like dat. Or maybe it might be empire23 itself, i dont know. I just want to bring it to attention, coz IMO, its not fair IF someone is having 2 accounts. Is it OK if i open a simliar thread like in the WC subforum in Football Lounge?

I know that LYN rules states that we cannot make bets among each other. But what most of us punters are doing is juz discussing and sharing info....we do not accept or make bets among each other.

So it is OK to open a similiar thread in Football Lounge? Juz wana ask 1st...before i make a move...thanx...

6800 Thread

As u know, the old and very informative past two 6800 thread that was full of useful information was deleted, due to many stoopid noobies posting so many rubbish questions where they can ask in the pinned topics, the old 6800 thread was push all d way to d bak to deletion. hopfully ppl like ianho and uncle sniper can help to contribute more to this thread...

So i am creating a new thread, hopfully it wont go to waste again. To start it off, i juz got myself an XFX 6800 vanilla. The diffrences compared to a 6600GT is pretty amazing...(sorry ar, abit jakun ) n the size...phew...pretty big i hav to say...

BUT, the temps are worrying me...ideal temps is bout 55C..okla..not too bad on stock heatsink, but while gaming, the temps can reach as high as 80C++!!

I heard b4 that the 6800 vanilla is pretty hot...but THIS hot? i think i expereince sum lagging at time while playing Far Cry...izzit because of my 512MB RAMs? dun think so, coz last time wif 6600GT i oso using 512MB RAM oni...

Or cud it be the settings dat i put ALL Very High for graphics? AA from Nvidia settings i set it to 4x, and AF i set it to 16x....
