Dot Net Programmer VS Test Engineer

I'm asking on behalf my friend. Currently he is working as Dot Net programmer at KL and the pay is around 3k..recently his friend who work at Penang Intel offer him a job, work as Test engineer at Intel. His friend told him that the job can get higher pay compare with his current work.

My friend was dilemma whether he should take the job or not. Pls help and advise

p/s:He already have 2 years experience in Dot Net and no experience on engineering field...pls help
