UniFi IPTV Problem

Any experts know what's the issue with my HyppTV based on the picture below?

[attachmentid=3436075]

This happened a few times already. One of those times, I called TM and when the technician came, everything is ok. Then the rest of the times, I just turn it off for a few days and it's ok.

If I leave the STB on in this state, I will lose internet connection in 5 mins. If I reset everything and turn off my STB, my internet is back. I turn on STB, same noise signal, and I lose internet again.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Theft / robbery in apartment unit

My apartment unit was broken into late last year. The JMB has a "tidak apa" attitude and until now there hasn't been any steps taken to ensure that the security has been beefed up. As I don't have theft insurance on my unit, I heard that one can file an insurance claim for their losses against the JMB's insurance under their Professional Negligence Insurance/Protection.

Does anyone have any knowledge on this? Or if anyone has done one before?

Help and advise is much appreciated.

Thanks.

How Streamyx Agents abuse the system

Here's an account on my application for Streamyx at my home.

I first went to a TM Point centre to register for Streamyx. I chossed for them send me the Streamyx In A Box as I'm technically knowledgeable to install it on my own.

While waiting for it to arrive, I received a few calls from a Streamyx Agent saying that they are coming to install it. I rejected them as I'm already waiting for the Streamyx In A Box to arrive, and I don't believe in paying for something I can do on my own.

The Streamyx In A Box didn't arrive until 3 weeks later.

When I put everything together and can't connect, I called TM customer support and was told that my account has been cancelled. That's the only information they have and to find out more I had to go to a TM Point Centre. Which I what I did.

And guess what I found out.

The Streamyx registration at the TM Point centre was incomplete. It was aborted midway.
The registration was then done by Degree Software Associates (a Streamyx Agent) a week later, and it was tagged as "installation needed".
Then they called me (a few times) telling me that they are here to install Streamyx.
I rejected them everytime saying that I'm waiting for "Streamyx In A Box" to arrive.
Guess what they did after a week of rejected calls... They CANCELLED my account!
Then they reopened another account using my address and details, changed my chosen username, and tagged "send Streamyx In A Box".

And that's why I can't connect! Worse things could happen... I could have registered MY chosen username in other communications. And imagine the trouble I had to endure, just so Degree Software Associates can profit a few dollars.

So I asked the Duty Manager at TM Point if there's a complain department I can address this to. His response is that this is very common, and I should make a police report on this.

And that's what I'm gonna do...

Degree Software Associates Sdn. Bhd.
Company number: 417504-A
Address: 2.5.3A, 2nd Floor, The Summit USJ, Persiaran Kewajipan, 47600 UEP Subang Jaya
Contact person: Mr. Richard Woon Chee Teng & Mr. C.K. Wong
Contact number: 03 80251186 / 019 6618866

I know there are DSA people in here. Send this to your leader!

Using 3G on a normal Wireless-G Broadband Router

Here's the story.

I have a Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router.
I have a 3G/HSDPA mobile line subscription.
I want to be able to use my 3G/HSDPA (to act as an Internet gateway) to connect to the wireless router so I can surf the Internet via 3G/HSDPA instead of the DSL modem.

Is there a device that I can plug my simcard into then plug it into the router so I can share the connection with other devices via WiFi? (Apart from buying a brand new 3G/HSDPA Wireless Router)

Any advise is much appreciated.

Thanks.
