Yamaha RX-V863 AV Receiver

Hello fellow forummers!

I've been thinking about getting this unit (the Yamaha RXV-863) for some time now, and while I have done some homework on the capabilities, and listen to it, I've not managed to see the main thing that attracted me. Main reason for me considering this unit is the video upscaling capabilities among other nifty features, which I do not think I'll use that frequently tbh.

I'll be using it primarily for movies/music around 70:30 (respectively) ratio, in the living room with approximately dimensions of WxLxH of 11feet x 13 feet x 9 feet, likely 5.1 speaker setup due to room size (no speaker preferrence yet), with primary input source being a BD player (cd/dvd/bd), Astro, and likely PS3.

I'm wondering if any existing owners or enthusiasts who knows this unit well enough can share some thoughts and comments on this unit? (particularly if the upscaling is indeed that good, or is it over-hyped?) If that one feature I'm looking for isn't anything to shout about, then it's likely the alternate 'brother' i.e. RX 663 instead I am not familar with makes and models that are within the same category/price range with similar capabilities, so if anyone has some suggestions for an alternative from a different manufacturer, do share share a bit!

Thanks in advance ya!
