Air cond repair costs (Cooling Coil & Evaporator)

Hi,

7 years old Honda Accord 9th gen, diagnosed with a leaking cooling coil and possible faulty evaporator. Air cond blower, compressor works. No sign of leak along the pipes between air cond parts, hence workshop owner quite confidence issue contained within cooling coil and the evaporator. When using lowest fan speed can feel a bit of cool air, but turned into warm air at higher fan speed.

Quoted for RM2500 including workmanship, Denso parts (cooling coild and evaporator) and 1 year warranty, auto repair shop some where in Serdang area.

Is this reasonable? Workshop Oowner told me, scope includes to disassemble from car dash area, to access the relevant area. Hence is consider a job with a bit more of complexity. Estimate leave car in workshop for 1 day. Due to he will seek partner workshop assist to assign air cond skilled mechanic.

This happened about couple weeks back, I haven't decide since no travelling, hence I can tolerate for the time being.

Used Car Booking Fee Inquiries

Hi all,

I placed booking for a used car. Apparently the dealer booking form comes with the following T&C.

1. If never submit document to proceed loan, booking fee not refundable.
2. If loan approved, but cancel, booking fee not refundable.
3. If loan rejected, 10% admin charge, or rm200. Whichever higher.

Is this T&C consider industry practice?

Determine PC, Router or TM problem

Hi all,

Symptoms (all is with wifi connection, haven't tried wired connection)
1. Internet slow on PC and laptop. Especially when just turned on
2. When ping to 8.8.8.8 dropped packets and high round trip time average 2500ms or more
3. When ping to 192.168.0.1 dropped packets and high round trip time average 2000ms or more
4. When ping item 2 and 3 together, the dropped packets seems synced
5. However, if I leave the ping to be continuous, after 10-15 mins all seems recover. ie no dropped packets and round trip time is within 300ms
6. When PC is having issue, I tried with my laptop, having same issues. However, when I browse with a wifi device (ie Android pad with no mobile broadband connection) browsing experience is good. When use ping app to ping 192.168.0.1 and 8.8.8.8 no dropped packets nor high round trip time

May I know what is a good approach to troubleshoot this scenario?

Hi,

I am using default Unifi router (orange/white box). Is there a way to setup QoS base on source IP or source MAC address? My neighbor children sharing this connection too, but they are not paying. So my plan is to have certain QoS in place, so that they won't eat up all my bandwidth.

And if Unifi router is not possible, any recommendation of router? Unifi package I am using is the standard 10M.

Win 7 64 bits Hangs when launch applications

Hi,

Laptop running W7 64bits hangs when launch applications. Happens in safe mode too. When tried using Event Viewer, don't see any abnormal event being logged.

How to troubleshoot and identify the source of problem?

Hello, would like to know is it possible for me to learn tuning a piano? I have an old piano, nearly 15 years. And would like to learn how to tune it properly. Perhaps some one in here can offer assistant/lessons? I googled and there's some simple guidance, but I would like to pick up this skill through learning experience as well.
