How do Malaysian employers view American degrees?

Are a person's job prospects increased if a candidate has a degree from an American university?

I know getting a foreign degree isn't anything special so this thread isn't about bragging. I am just trying to get a feel if this somehow pushes a candidate's resume a bit closer to the top of the stack.

Just wondering if any of you are out there? Is it more accepted these days in Malaysian society?

I'd like to spend my money on travel and acquiring life experiences. I have nothing against people who choose to start families because I'm sure it's rewarding to them. I just decided it wasn't for me. And I'm wondering if it's actually possible to find a partner who shares the same point of view as me.

And then decided to return to Malaysia to live/work?

I've been in US for 15 years. I am now 30 and have been thinking about going back to Malaysia to live/work. Basically spend some of my adulthood trying to learn my Malaysian roots again instead of being the casual visitor every 2-4 years.

I am a US citizen though, which may complicate things a bit when it comes to employment.

I am pretty much a foreigner since I live outside of Malaysia but I'm back and would like to buy some clothes. Where's the best/cheapest place to buy clothes these days? Besides all the fake stuff in Petaling Street? (I picked up a fake Fred Perry shirt for RM22 haha) Educate me LY.net. Thanks.

While on my trip to Malaysia, I was going to visit Thailand as well. I don't have any set plans, tickets booked in advance etc.

I was going to go to malaysia...spend a week there. then buy a tickets to bangkok (and tickets from bkok to phuket or hatyai or pattaya etc.). spend a few days each place, fly from spot to spot.

Not reserving rooms in advance at hotels/motels.

What do you all think? I don't know if that's travel suicide or not. advice pls. I am not a very seasoned traveller so knock me on the head and advise me
