MOBO problem

After lightning, my CPU show the sign "Disc Boot Failure etc"

send to shop, they show to me that other computer MOBO could detect that hard disk which indicates my MOBO has problem not the hard disk. my noob question, i aware that we can put more than 1 hard disk in a mother board. can we try to slot the hard disk in another controller in the motherboard? i'm not sure whether the one that we install our window must be on the primary section. thanks
