Recommendation for Motherboard + CPU

I just got an ASUS ENGT430 as a gift from a friend but sadly I don't have the right PC for it since:

1. It's been ages since I've actually owned a desktop.
2. The PC at home is outdated (motherboard only takes AGP cards)

Thinking about selling it but after reading the reviews of the card I decided to change the MB and CPU of my old PC.

I've not been up to date with the latest peripherals since owning a laptop so I thought I would ask you guys for opinions/suggestions

Macbook Pro Audio Problem

I found an unused 2006 Macbook Pro at my house and thought that I should try and switch to a Mac to see what it's all about.

The reason my dad stopped using it years ago was because there was a problem with the audio. I checked preferences and it seems that no output device is detected, I tried searching for solutions on Google but my problem is: No sound from speakers, headphones, external speakers and I don't have the red light problem. I tried updating the software and installed Snow Leopard but nothing is solving it.

The most recent resource I can find on this problem was at least 2 years ago and it was still unsolved then. So I just thought that I could try my luck here because maybe there's a more recent fix that I am unable to find.

Any ideas guys?

One Stop Center/Area

I was just wondering if there is such a thing as a one stop center for everything from repairing, interiors, electronics (something like in Pimp My Ride) in Malaysia.

I'm thinking about gussying up my Suzuki Escudo (It's really beat up looking). It's been in the family for about about 10 years. Needs new upholstery, paint job, tinted windows, and the air-condition is barely felt during a hot day. If there is no such place, then could you guys recommend me the places suitable for each of those things? Preferably around Shah Alam and Subang area.

I'm fairly new with these kind of things and I'd really appreciate the recommendations. Hope to hear from you guys soon.

I'm currently using the Huawei E220 USB Modem and recently I'm unable to detect any signals or networks and whenever I try to change the network type I get the message stated above. Can anybody enlighten me?

I've been using it for months in Dungun, Terengganu with no problems.

Wireless Connection Disconnecting

I have a wireless network set up at home and I noticed that recently the connection tends to disconnect quite oftenly when I surf, it's frustrating. My dad just recently change the previous wireless router with the Mac Time Capsule, does this have anything to do with it?

Hey there, I just upgraded my OS from XP to Vista a few days ago. I forgot to backup the old drivers (would it matter if I had?) so I downloaded the drivers off the Compaq website. The problem is that my network controller still needs a driver and I've downloaded and installed all of the drivers listed under networks here and my wi-fi is still not working.

Has anyone here encountered the same problems or know the solution? I need your help..
