Difference in Composite, Component and S-video?

I just bought a 29" flatscreen CRT TV and it has all these ports... My old TVs only have the Yellow/Red/White ports (composite video I think). What is the difference? (eg quality etc)

Thanks in advance.

Moderator's Note:

Continue at existing thread - http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/594219/+260

Thread closed.

Any M'sians who bought their PS3 in S'pore?

Hey guys PS3 isn't released officially in Malaysia yet, so the only way is to get import sets locally. But if I get a set from Singapore (ie go down to S'pre to buy one), will I be able to get my warranty in Singapore? I understand that the warranty registration is online and everything, but it seems like I need to register under a Singaporean address. So a for other M'sians who bout their sets in S'pore, what did you do for the warranty? Thanks in advance!

Wireless Modem Question

Hi, I recently got a Riger wireless modem from TMNet and I just plugged in the telephone wire inside and without connecting it to any computer, I turned on my laptop, connected to the modem via wlan and then connected to tmnet via the normal way I do (Start>Connect to>TMNET). Then I realised that my sister can also connect to the modem via wlan from her laptop and connect to the same tmnet account as me. Why is this so? I though tmnet will reject further connections if a connection with one computer is already established? Sorry noob here pls explain thx.

[addedon]January 14, 2008, 12:53 am[/addedon]Also in the past we used wired modems and we found that two computers cannot connect to the same account at one time that's why I'm wondering why it can with the riger wireless modems and also is there any privacy this way?
