Hi /k/
Anyone knows paintball shop selling decent mask around PJ selangor? I want to try the fitment if it fits comfortable on my face.
There used to be one in KelanaJaya and it has closed down.

I want to buy an entry level mask that is wide enough and comfortable w/ wearing glasses.
A friend of mine bought one from mudah, but when i tried it, a lil too narrow for my face.

It will be used for casual paintballing between friends, not competitions/pro events

so last weekend i had some outdoor activity(paintball) and my karrimor rubber sole came off.
So i think i want to try repair it myself. already did some washing and later will do some sanding to remove debris.
I did read some tutorials and it has listed the types of glue i can use. however i never heard of the listed brand and once tried elephant-bren.
I dont like the result of using elephant as it somehow causes some whitish effect on the rubber (i did some repairing last time) and as the rubber hardens it cracks.

any recommendation on glue u gais already use and satisfied w/ the result?
*the shoe material is hard cloth and the sole is rubber

Im currently looking to advance my education after working for 7+ years. I've been working in the storage industry mostly on the magnetic
*My job scope is product functionality testing which involves programming and spec/protocol analysis. Im not directly involve with firmware writings*
As time goes by the Flash semicon technology interests me but i know nothing more than reading wiki's and i dont work directly with these parts. Im considering to persue in this path.
Im an EE grad major in computer Eng.

Currently im searching for related courses and details, but i think im doing it wrong. I cant seem to find related course on storage technology
am looking for a full time course and may consider learning abroad

I hope you can shed some light on what are the keyword i should be searching. Oh feel free to drop tips and advice. would appreciate that

i rarely drive on the highway after dark, so im not aware if this has been going on for some time.
So just now i drove on the nse-klia expressway, i saw a bunch of cars with blue stobes on their windshield.
what are those? to signify unmarked police cars? doesnt seem to me as theyre luxury cars.
they put the strobes on, and high beam everyone to give way, even when the road is packed. heck some even overtake on the emergency lane

Not sure where this supposed to go.

But just now witnessed hit n run where a lorry hit a silver car (cant recall the model) and when the driver about to get out of the car, the lorry drove off.

Happened in front of Giant-Paradigm Kelana Jaya, on flyover heading SS2.
The lorry is a white lorry that looks like SushiKing delivery lorry (but not sushiking lorry).
Plate no WXR 1848 (iirc) and i think its a chinese driver.

Im not sure if a blue Wish behind the lorry was playing tailgating whatnot, but the lorry did fled off after ramming the car.
Hope the car driver at least got the plate no to fill in his police report

Harddisk 3.5' cage, where to get one?

Hello folks, esp from the Edu field

I am currently working in a company that based of storage peripheral for computers(go guessing ) as a test engineer. Been working for almost 6yrs. I enjoyed working and has ranked up over the years but i feel that since i am still single and i want to experience oversea life, im thinking to quit job (and taking vss opportunity).
I was an ComputerEng degree grad from UTM, and programming isnt my specialty.

I have lost track on what kind of courses available today as i have missed few edu fair. im interested with flash/ssd technology, computer platform, and also considering .
I'm seeking an opportunity to study abroad at anywhere that is not Europe for now.

please do share with me what kind of engineering courses available, while i start my searching quest to get the list.
From there, i will narrow down and seek advice from you folks

*purpose of doing this: i want to feel studying and living abroad and also part time working and mix w/ the local community. i like traveling, but holiday traveling is nothing compared to actually stay on a foreign land n do your stuff.
*my goal is while feeling the different life and culture, is to gain knowledge so i can continue work later in future.

i know theres a risk of me not getting a job even after i completed my studies, but im looking for the study option available so i can factor and weight the risk

Hi guys
Anyone with a Phottix Nikos wired trigger?
I have Nikos, but its not triggering my a850 and a300.
Im unsure if its the body trigger or the cord that is not working. It seems few shop i went does not Nikos test unit.

Since the cord is detachable, so I guess any Nikos owner of any mount can at least test my Nikos trigger.
If theres any alpha user, that would be great as I can test my Nikos trigger with your cord.

If my cord is faulty, i think im willing to spend some monies for new cord. But if its confirmed the trigger itself, then its pretty clear i can just get any other new trigger.

Im located in Damansara Utama. Your help, teh tarik on me

need some insights on what might be wrong with my gearbox

now im having difficulties when shifting from 2nd to 3rd gear.. when i drive, i just cant shift from 2nd to 3rd smoothly.. it sill always stuck and grind ggrrrGLUK as if like depressed the clutch before the gear successfully engaged.
I do not have problem downshifting from 3rd to 2nd n 4th to 3rd

last time i changed gear oil was like...when i changed the clutch early last year (or was it the year before )
clucth is stock honda w/ mineral oil

car: civic d16 w/ stock gb

mech test drive my car and he said its the 3rd gear teeth gone/grinded edi.. clutch everything else is still ok
he said easier route is just change the GB, as changing only 1 gear is a hassle job..
I can still drive but at one point i may no longer able to engage 3rd gear..

so i need opinion on gearbox..
my engine is ME516 local assembled MYDM. Am i able to fit in JDM D16 GB?
Put in LSD from VTi engine if it can even be found?
What kind of money am i looking for stock ME516/D16 manual GB?

Do suggest options as long not engine swap

[help] injectors replacement, and alternative

Hi guys

so today i gent to get my injectors cleaned at GT-Auto.
The process went smooth as the boss actually test the injector before cleaning, explaining about the abnormal spray patterns on my injector etc ect and start cleaning.
After ~30mins, found out one of the injector kong. the needle got stucked and it cant spray normally anymore.
The boss tried his best to fix/blow/reclean, but it wont work anymore. The boss also help to find replacement from his sources, but all the sample(6) arrived did not match my other 3 working injector.

he mentioned my CC is 260 by kei-hin. He mentioned most likely i need to change all 4 as most shop wont sell 1 piece alone.

What alternative do I have?
- can i get a slightly larger injector than my original one in case i cant find a match replacement from halfcut?
- what 3rd parties injector can i checkout?

currently im putting a slightly larger injector on the 4th cylinder..
The boss will help find as well..

Hi all

I've been considering to upgrade my Civic EH5(local assembled EG) braking system.
It came with small front rotors, drums on rear, and single layer masterpump. pcd100 4lugs.
engine is stock slow-bai d16.

Im thinking to swap the drums for disc, so i may need eg9 rears with knuckle and lower arm. but that might result the front rotor to be small/same size as the eg9 rear disc.

What other options do I have aside from converting to EG9 front and rear caliper+rotor+knucle etc?
What aftermarket brake kit I can look for that is not 4pot and bigger =__="
Its not possible to simply change the front rotor size+new caliper?
changing the lugs is the last thing i would do

[HELP] Cant get OBD error code

Hi sifu

Its me again, with my problematic Civic ;__;
Last Friday in a hot sunny afternoon, I could not start my car at all.
I usually have a coldstart issue in the morning or during/after rain, but on a hot day this is a first.

For my coldstart issue, usually i just leave my key to position II, after a few minutes(sometimes up to 10), the check engine light(CEL) will go off after a 'zrrrr' sound of my fuel pump.
But it was not the case for my hot sunny start issue. The CEL wont go off even after 15mins.

So yesterday till today, spent my time debugging the issue. Along the way, I found out I could not get my OBD error readings from this guide.

I have shorted the connector that was in the green sleeve, but my CEL did not blink at all (it stays on forever). The whole internet mentioned car predates 1996 most likely uses OBD1 (ODB2 need to use scantools).

Since im going nowhere w/o the error code, I decided to pry my ECU

As you can see on the top side of the ECU, all the capacitor has bad oxidized legs. But the one here in the middle of the pic is the worst.

I have cleaned it using 'cucuk satay', but it seems the green layer pcb starts to peel off and exposing the copper surface beneath. Kind of dangerous as i might short something

Anyhow, now my car can start in an instant(the CEL goes off immediately) on a hot afternoon, even when I havent reset the ECU.

So my questions are:
1. Why Im not getting the OBD reading/ no CEL blinks, even after now my engine can start?
2. Anyone know any info of the part above of the circuit/what it does?
3. What sensor readings that can trigger/cause this issue?
4. what Other alternative i can go on my ecu? (reCap/resolder)?

*Back when I was debugging my coldstart issue, sending to Honda Center they only come up with "ECU problem, change ECU can solve" w/o more detail. So I want to learn/seek more info before taking a plunge into ECU swap.

Car: Civic SR4/EG
Engine: EFI ME516... (D16 equivalent)

Overheating when cruising/high speed

Sup peeps

I have been lurking the internet for the past 2months to gather infos on troubleshooting my issue
Today I have given up hope and seek you guys for assist.

Car:
olde civic eg, 1st hand bought. on the road since 1996
sohc 1.6 me516engine(d16 equivalent)
my last mech short the rad fan wires to always on 2yrs ago(or maybe more)

Problem:
I noticed the problem march last year when i were driving high speed (180) melaka-kl and the temp needle were up to red.
Slowed down, the temp seems to cool down.

Now, high aspirited driving(heavy right foot), the needle will go up to 3/4.
Normal mode, it will be a little above middle mark.
I have yet did some long distance travelling.

While idling/stalling, my car does not overheat.
From active driving to stationary, the temp will go down (needle back to middle)

This thread discussed similar symptom, but it was solved by new motor for AC fan. wut?

To add, last month i drove the car 10km distance with with no coolant left as one of the stopper were leaking =__="

What I've observed
- no whitey caramel color in engine oil
- no sweet exhaust fumes.
- open cap, then only start engine, no gushing coolant. (test head gasket?)
- tested the coolant/pump flow by opening the rad cap after a cold start 8mins. At that time rad fan not yet kicking, but the coolant got some small fountain effect in the middle of the hole (no overflowing) 1/2cm gushing

What I've done/changed
- changed the water pump as it was said to be leaking (last year, when i changed my clutch plate at 80k interval)
- coolant rubber stopper (corroded and leaked last month)
- radiator flush(swapped with clean one)
- coolant flush
- new radiator cap
- thermostat
- 2ndary thermoswitch as it is said the original thermoswitch no longer feedback proper signal to spin up the rad fan(i disabled back the always on rad fan)
im using the UR external housing with UR thermoswitch. Does anyone know the thermoswitch spec? I have no thermometer to check at what temp the rad fan kicks in

What's left to suspect:
- waterpump fins gone
- blown head gasket
- faulty temp gauge/sensor
- running too lean at mid to high rpm
- too advanced timing(?)
- b16a

Your assistance is greatly appreciated

Hard braking, the rears tends to sway out

Sup guys

Last week i changed my super old GoodYear RevSpec on my rears to a new Parada Spec2.
RevSpec was a 195/55/15 while the new Parada are 195/50/15
The fronts are still on PP2 195/55/15 and around a yr old of usage.

Before putting on the Parada, i do not encounter th rear swaying out during high speed hard braking on straight.
But it became apparent when Parada is on the rears. The rear tend to go slightly sideways(sometimes left, or right)
What did i messed up?
