I need advice about taxation for imports from Thai

Hello everyone,

Me and my father are in tires trading field, i am wondering if anyone can enlighten me more on the taxation system for imported item to Malaysia from a neighboring country ,say Thailand?

I need to know a couple of thing here

1) How is the tax charged on the item that i am going to bring in from Thailand ?
-Isit based on the weight of each tires that i import to Malaysia ?
-Or is it by the quality of the tires that i import ?

2) Any suggestion on how can i exempt tax or import duty for tires and anything that i would love to import from Thailand ?

Please to all forumers who have experience in dealing with trades or who have the knowledge in this could enlighten me on this or provide me with your opinions on how to go about it .
