My external hard disk cannot be detected by several computers. Tried different cables but still undetected.

Hi guys,

I need help desperately. I'm being taxed on a pair of used headphones.

A whopping 25%. That would bring the total cost of my headphones to RM800 and I'm not willing to pay tht.

Is there anyone with experience with the customs who can help me? I want to know two things:

a) why are they taxing me? is it because it is imported? got cash transaction?

b) can i pass it off as a gift and not be taxed.
