Hi All,

I recently bought a asus p552w. But I don't like the default headphones they gave me. It's bulky and just hanging out of my ears. The problem is the asus uses a mini-usb port for everything, so no standard headphone jack hole.

I know htc has an adapter for that. Wondering if anyone found a compatible one for asus, better still made for asus pdas. I went round digital mall and tried but none of them worked.

thanks.

Hi Guys and Gals,

Just curious where would I go buy parts if I want to set up my home surveillance unit.

ie. spy cameras, DVR recorders, wireless routers and audio listening devices.

Can't be too careful nowadays, crime rates are higher, and I wanna watch out for suspicious activity . Thinking of DIY , hopefully save costs as well....

Thanks!

streamyx connection problem

Hi

I registered last year with TMNET to get 512MB streamyx with no modem (i am using my own D-link modem) and to date about 2 weeks now I am still not connected to get any internet connection.

The thing is the first 2 days the DSL light was on and stable. When I call their tech support different person tells me different config. (I don't know why) . Eventually I got a girl who is competent enough I felt was telling me the right things. She asked me to wait for an hour while she got my port resetted. Everything at this stage - the config and cables are correctly plugged in.

Suddenly in between the waiting somebody ( a man) from Telekom just called and verified if I was a new streamyx user and said something and "apa, ini kacau saja" and then put down the phone. Shortly after that my DSL light went off - this is day 2.

I reported this to the girl and she asked me to reboot my pc and the modem but to no avail. Still no DSL light . The log says at the end " DSL carrier down".

I double checked with a friend my settings are correct VPI=0 and VCI=35
He even borrowed me his modem which confirm works and plugged it in my house and still has the same problem - no DSL light. So confirmed my modem is working ok.

I'm suspicious of the man who called and later the DSL light went out. Is he indirectly forcing me to pay extra to fix my problem quickly ? Seems like this guy from Telekom just pulled out my cable so I don't have my DSL light.

Apparently the TMNET and Telekom are different divsions and the girl promised to chase up Telekom to check all the wiring. I've been calling TMNET and chasing them up, then I thought better follow up the same girl on a daily basis.
Still nothing yet....anybody faced a similar problem....and found an effective solution ?

I'm thinking maybe I should find out who the GM on both sides and send a fax to them ....

thanks in advance!
