            <title>installing new ram causing old ram become faulty</title>

            <description>mobo: A320M-K 2 slot RAM&lt;br /&gt;old ram : Patriot 8gb 2400Mhz DDR4 1.2v&lt;br /&gt;new ram : Galax Gamer II 8gb 3000Mhz DDR4 1.35v&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1) Slot in new ram. press power button. screen blank continuously and unable to load bios.&lt;br /&gt;2) Remove new ram. same thing happened as (1)&lt;br /&gt;3) with old ram, change ram slot. same as (1)&lt;br /&gt;4) remove old ram. slot in new ram. pc able to load bios and os&lt;br /&gt;5) with new ram, change slot. same as (4)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;dram voltage set to auto at first&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;at this moment i suspected old ram is faulty.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;done some googling same say the slight increase of voltage doesn&amp;#39;t affect ram&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;can someone advise me what should i do to confirm if the old ram really faulty? (got power shot or something?)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;thanks for helping</description>
