Macbook Maintenance

I've recently made the switch from PC to Macbook. What's the easiest way to maintain your macbook? What do you guys do? Please share some tips. So far, I've only been emptying the trash. Can we do maintenance without another software? I want something that's hassle-free and effective.

Also is Mac's antivirus/firewall really secure that we dun have to install any 3rd party software to beef up security? I notice I hardly ever get those stupid popup ads while surfing (use Safari); which is great!

How to donate stuff to Bersamamu TV3?

Hey guys, I have a lot of goodies to give away and I plan to give them to the needy. I've always followed Bersamamu TV3 and am moved by the stories of the less-fortunate families. Is there a way to reach out to those families personally? If not, how can I find families that are in need of these items? I live in Penang.

These are some of the items I'd like to donate.

1. School uniforms . My brothers grow up very quickly and we have a lot of primary school (blue) and secondary school (green) pants, some are still in good condition.

2. General Clothes. Nice and classic baju kurungs, baju melayu, women's tops, jeans, t-shirts, children's clothes. I'll only give away items which are in good conditions which my brothers and I can't fit anymore (we won't dump junk!)

3. Beddings. Bedsheets, pillow cases, some light blankets.

4. Books. Children's books. (you know..those ladybird books)

I wanna make sure that my donation WILL get to those in need, not just dumped in the store of jabatan kebajikan masyarakat..

Does anyone have any suggestion?

EndNote or other citation software?

Hey guys, I am wondering if anybody uses the software EndNote. I am in the academia and I just bought a macbook. i use Ms Office Mac 2008 and EndNote does not work with MS Office Mac 2008. I need to sort out my references for my thesis so i need a good citation software.. anyone got suggestion?
