Cloudflare error with VPN Browser extension

When I enable my WindScribe VPN browser extension, the Lowyat login page throws a Cloudflare error. I do notice that I have to disable it for the page to work, - just disconnecting does not help.

Is there some setting I need to add for the page to work?

WHAT DO YOU PAY?

You can expect to pay the charges to my credit card + a small service charge
+ Any poslaju/packaging/delivery charges
+ any tax and transportation charges (see info below)

My quotes follow the following working formula for USD

(Cost of item + Cost of shipping - Discounts (if any)) * (USD Exchange Rate + 0.1) * 1.03 + delivery charges outside of the seller's (i.e. poslaju, 3rd party forwarding etc.)

+ 0.1 is a buffer for currency fluctuations
* 1.03 is a 3% admin charge charged by the banks.

Other currencies will apply a similar system though the buffer applied may differ.

Note: If the website does not accept a Malaysian credit card, I can engage a buyer but they charge a 10% commission.

Note: If payment is via CDM, it will be rounded up to the nearest RM10 (minimum charge of RM5)

The service charge for the service is derived from the rounding up as well as exchange rate buffer. For the rounding up there is a minimum charge of RM5, thus if an item costing RM18 will have the rounded-up value of RM30 if pay via CDM. It will be RM18 if you are doing an internet transfer.

If an item is taxed (and upfront tax is not collected or is insufficient), you will need to top up the tax + any transportation cost to the Customs holding areas. Transportation costs is usually avoided when a direct courier is used as they will settle the tax charges and bill you when delivery is made.

As always, the quote is a best guess and if the final bill charged to me is above the quote (due to sudden currency fluctuations etc.), the buyer will be required to top up the difference.

SHIPPING OPTIONS

The following options are used according to priority
1) Direct trackable courier from the vendor (usually applies to Play-Asia and items sold by Amazon)
2) 3rd party forwarders (especially for large orders or sellers that do not ship to Malaysia)
3) Slow untracked shipping - highly discouraged and need to be requested. Will be subject to terms and conditions

Option 1 allows the item to be directly sent to you. The item is deemed delivered when the courier reports successful delivery
Other options (and non-trackable options) require manual collection at defined locations

or top up for Poslaju (weight dependent). I do not ship direct to your address for free shipping due to the need to verify the receipt of the goods in good condition.

3rd party forwarders are usually quite useful for consolidating multiple orders and saving shipping costs in return. this makes it ideal for bulk purchases and shopping sprees.
Currently this option is only available for items shipped from the US.

HOW IT WORKS

1) PM me with the item links + any special request/delivery instructions + whether you intend to use internet transfers or Cash Deposit Machines
2) I will provide a quote and advice (usually valid for 3 days or so)
3) If the quote is acceptable then pm me with the following info
- Full Name
- Address
- Contact Number
- Banks that you can do an internet transfer to
4) Upon receipt of the above information, I will provide my banking and contact details
5) You make full payment to my account and contact me to verify.
6) I place the order and inform you once it ships. Tracking number, if applicable, is provided then.
7) Item arrives. Further delivery/collection done if necessary.

[Suggestion] Standardize handphone number formats

Not sure if this is the correct location to post, but I would like to suggest that Trade Xone enforce a standardized way to display phone numbers i.e 01X-1234567 or 01X1234567

Reason for this is it allows LYNers to easily search for and compare phone numbers to detect scammers etc.

The current search engine does not handle this adequately.

Example... if i am searching for 0101234567 (and assumption: exist in forums)

only the search for this exact string " 0101234567" will return a hit.

searching 010-1234567 returns all numbers starting with 010-

1234567 = no match
010 123 4567 = no match

if we standardize the way we write out phone numbers (when we create a sales thread or a dispute thread), we have a chance to give everyone a slightly safer environment to trade. i eventually hope that one day everyone can make it a habit to just search a number before they make a trade to avoid getting scammed by repeat scammers. I see it being part of trade etiquette.

I will leave it to LYN staff to decide on formats, whether to implement. how to enforce etc. I hope eventually we can just search for the last 7 numbers but that might be too hopeful

Red Dead Redemption (PS3)

Red Dead Redemption is a sandbox-style action-adventure western video game developed by Rockstar San Diego, due for release on April 27, 2010 for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. It is the spiritual successor to 2004's Red Dead Revolver.

The game is set in 1908; it focuses around a former outlaw, John Marston, who is blackmailed by U.S. Government Agent Edgar Ross to search across the troubled American Frontiers to help bring in the rule of law. It was revealed that Marston has come to kill or capture his former gang members that include his old friend Bill Williamson. Along the way Marston meets a bunch of charismatic characters including Marshal Leigh Johnson and his Deputies, and becomes strong allies with them as he searches for Williamson. As Marston moves though into the Mexican border he encounters a rebel soldier called Abraham Raias who needs his assistance in a Revolution against the Mexican Army in 1910.

The game will use open world gameplay similar to the Grand Theft Auto series with sandbox environments and a free-roaming ability. The environments will include frontier towns, prairies, and mountain passes. Realistic horses created with the Euphoria animation engine will play a major part of the game's transport. The game will also feature over 40 different types of animals that can be hunted; these animals include Cattle, Bison, Pigs, Bears, Cougars, Deer, Wolves, Coyotes, Vultures and many more. Realistic weather patterns change throughout the different seasons.

Red Dead Redemption is a 3rd person action adventure in a Wild West setting. There are three main Regions to traverse; two in the Western United States and one on the Mexican border. Random encounters generate as players explore the countryside, these include hangings, ambushes, pleas for help and animal attacks. Mini-games include: showdowns, gambling, hunting bounties, cattle herding and five finger fillet. An Honor and Fame system works as a morality gauge that presents players with choices as they interact with the game world. For example, stopping a robbery will earn the player honor, whereas helping the bandits will earn a wanted level. Combat and gun-play is a major part of Red Dead Redemption; John Marston has an arsenal of Weapons to choose from that include: Rifles, Knifes, Lasso and Revolvers. One combat feature that Marston can utilize is a Dead-Eye tageting system that slows down time and allows the player to paint targets over an enemy.

This game will have multiplayer but no real details yet.

I now offer ordering services for Bookdepository.com, GoG.com and Steam as well.

The service now includes eBay but all eBay purchases must first go to me (i.e. Play-Asia free shipping methodology)

WHY USE THIS SERVICE?
- You like something from Play-Asia or Amazon but you do not have a credit card or
- You don't wish to pay the government tax on credit cards..
- You distrust the security of online services
- You are always not home to take delivery of the packages
- It is not appropriate to receive something marked "Play-Asia" or Amazon in the office (especially if it is a figurine!)

WHAT DO YOU PAY?

You pay the amount the retailer charges my credit card in RM rounded up + a service charge.
+ Any postage/Poslaju charges
+ Custom Taxes + transportation to customs

eRetailers such as Steam and GoG.com do not have any charges other the retailer charge.

The service charge is derived from the rounding up of the charge amount to the nearest RM10, with a minimum service charge value of RM5.
So what do I make?

Rates u see from the internet and P-A are indicative rates only and are for reference.
Actual rates changes constantly like a money changer, and likely it is not same when the order is finally shipped.
Furthermore, banks will charge higher than it when they sell USD to you (their profit margin) and give u less than it when you sell USD to them (their profit margin again).

With credit cards, Visa/Master will mark up first, then the bank's rate, then any admin charge on the card transaction then only reach the final amount

Default shipment will be courier shipping where available unless requested/does not qualify/has to be forwarded. Digital coupons are 'free shipping' and usually received immediately after payment.

For customers ordering multiple items, I will attempt bulk them together in order to make shipment cheaper for you! (up to RM500 per shipment)

You will get your order and any coupons that Play-Asia may have been included in the package.

I do not ship direct to your address for free shipping due to the need to verify the receipt of the goods in good condition from Play-Asia.

Free shipping terms (need to be accepted if one insists on free shipping)
1) Due to the nature of free shipping, it always has to be come to me first (cannot be addressed to you) as I need to verify its delivery, since it cannot be tracked.
2) takes a long time to arrive (2-4 weeks or more)
3) may be lost - only 1 time replacement from P-A and that is usually after 2-3 months. 2nd time must pay courier charge else take risk of 2nd time also lost
4) I may not be in KL to actually pass/mail the item to you due the nature of my job (so further delays to you)
5) there is additional cost to send/mail to you if you are not able to meet me at my convenience

For courier services, I offer the option to ship directly to your address but you will be responsible for the receipt and condition of your order. Goods considered delivered as long as the tracking number shows so.

HOW DO YOU USE THIS SERVICE?

- PM me your order and details + any coupon codes you would like to use. Alternatively, email to zenquix [at] gmail.com

- I will revert with the estimated cost of the order rounded up with estimated exchange rate (see top for formula). If I have any extra coupons, I will use them to offset your cost.
- Payment to me via bank account
- Order sent to Play-Asia or Amazon.
- Once delivery is received, goods is checked and you are informed.
- Order is hand delivered or sent via PosLaju to you.

For Play-Asia orders, if courier shipping is selected, package will be sent direct to your address.

If an order is already in "preparing order" stage, no request for order cancellation or revision will be entertained.

For eRetailers, purchases will made via "purchase as a gift" so no passwords need to be exchanged.

The current 3rd party forwarder I use is the cheapest I found, and have been reliable so far. However they are much slower and do not do consolidation of packages.
I have other options that do but are more expensive. Do state what you require.

Courier is now the defacto shipping method. Free shipping can be requested and will only be accommodated if I have the time and am in Malaysia at that time.
