Laptop Dead?

Here is the scenario..

I went out for a haircut. Halfway my sister called saying that it's raining and she'd help me turn off my computer. I said okay.

Then when i got back, my sister came up to me and said that she can't start up the computer anymore.

When i press the on button my laptop, no lights nothing. As quiet as dead.

So i need help, and some constructive comments. Or maybe there is a possibility that my sister was the culprit?

First timer buying a computer

Hi. This is my first time and my budget is 3k. I use it for school work and playing the latest games.

Also, I need to include the monitor and keyboard and mouse. And I would prefer that I can upgrade it in the future.

1. Should i choose intel core 2 duo E8500 or AMD Phenom
2. Corsair 2x 2048-6400 (2GB)
3. Western Digital 500GB
4. MSI 7360 P35Neo-FP35
5. DVDRW
6. Arctic Freezer
7. ATI 4870
8. How much would each of these cost?
9. Is 3k enough?

Why would I want to do this?

If you wish to use a peer-to-peer (P2P) network, but your ISP has blocked or throttled (slowed) the P2P traffic. Buying a New PC

I am a student and an avid gamer. Not even 18 yet.

After the Chinese New Year, i am planning to buy a New PC.

My budget will be RM3000.

I kinda need reccomendations of what type of graphic card, RAM, monitor, keyboard, mouse, ghz, and lots of etc.

Wanting to play Crysis too.
