Smooth Cement Floor Finish

Hey guys, I'm thinking of not doing tiles in my kitchen/ workshop. We are going for an industrial design look and I really like how some cafes and workshops have just smooth cement floors (sometimes varnished, sometimes not). Do any of you have experience with this type of finishings? Will you know if all contractors can do this or if there's any thing I must look out for?

I bought this hoping to relactate but it took a while to come from the US and being a working mother, I couldn't find the discipline to pump the no of times it will need to increase milk supply. So am selling it. Only used it for a week, once to twice a day only! This is as good as BRAND NEW. Am not selling it at any profit but at quite a loss. I paid quite a bit considering the exchange rate and shipping cost.
