Need Advice on current Job

I am a fresh grad, just got a job in a local company.
On the first day I joined this company, I was so happy and enthusiastic to start working in this company. During the first week, my boss gave me nothing to do but some notes to study. I was thinking maybe I'm too fresh, so I've nothing to do in the first 2 weeks.

But now its already the seventh week, and my boss still doesn't give me ANYTHING to do. Basically, he is not teaching me anything at all besides the notes he gave me on the first week. There was once i got a chance to have something to do, but my boss didn't want to teach me and he just input the data himself and asked me to send it out.

Currently, I feel like I'm useless in the company. I understand that freshy need to sit in the office to study for 2-3 months. But why my boss doesn't want to teach me anything at all? He never talk with me at all in the office during office hours. Sometimes, I notice that he is quite free, but he rather on9 but not teaching me.

Should I leave the company?
Or I should wait for 1-2 more months to observe if the situation gets better?

Thank you.

US$1.00 receipt in Agreement

Hi all,

I went to a company to sign offer letter today. I was informed properly about the major parts of the agreement. So i just signed it and kept the original copy.

When I reached home today,I read through the agreement again. I noticed a sentence in which I was not so sure the meaning behind it:
"In consideration of US$1.00 receipt of which I, XXXXXX hereby acknowledge,.........."

What does this sentence mean?

Thank you.

I'm planning to buy a new laptop for normal usage. I'm an engineering student that will run basic coding software and MATLAB. Have been doing survey on a few brands but not sure which one to purchase.

1) ACER- Aspire 4736G-654G32 (RM2299)
2) ACER- Aspire 4937-752G32 (RM2699)
3) DELL- Inspiron 14 (RM2599)
4) DELL - Studio 14 (RM2699)
5) DELL - Studio 15 (RM2799)

My budget is around RM2500.

I don't play games. I only use my laptop to online, listen to music, and do assignment.

Can you recommend me any good model that will suit me?

I'm fine with other brands like HP, Compaq, Asus, Benq or any other brands. Please recommend me.

Thank you for your help!
