A Florida woman is speaking out after she claims she was forced to marry a 20-year-old member of her church who raped and impregnated her when she was just 11 years old.

In a harrowing exposé in the opinion section of the New York Times, author Sherry Johnson reveals the horrific abuse she endured at the hands of her family's conservative Pentecostal church in her youth.

Johnson says that she was raped four times by members of her congregation, including both a minister and a parishioner, as a child and, as a result, she became pregnant at age 10.

After child welfare authorities stepped in to investigate, Johnson says her family members and church officials decided that the easiest way to avoid legal trouble was to arrange a marriage.

"It was forced on me," she told the New York Times. "My mom asked me if I wanted to get married, and I said, 'I don't know, what is marriage, how do I act like a wife?' She said, 'Well, I guess you're just going to get married.'"

Johnson mothered nine children with the man she was forced to wed until the marriage was eventually dissolved.

The former child bride says she had to miss out on school and other necessary activities to change diapers as she spent her days arguing with her husband, who struggled to pay expenses and often abandoned her.

"It was a terrible life," Johnson recalled.

Shockingly enough, Johnson's case is anything but rare in the United States.

The New York Times reports that Florida is one of 27 states that have no age minimum for children to be married with their parents' permission.

Using available data, the organization Unchained at Last was able to estimate that there were almost 250,000 child marriages in the U.S. between 2000 and 2010.

The three states with the highest rates were Arkansas, Idaho and Kentucky.

Johnson is now fighting for Florida to set a minimum marriage age so that no one else has to be robbed of their childhood like she was.

"You can't get a job, you can't get a car, you can't get a license, you can't sign a lease," Johnson said, "So why allow someone to marry when they're still so young?"

I've been surfing online tour agent and hotel booking. Still can't decide where to go for this year end holiday. Been looking at the above places. I've been to Bandung, Phuket and Kota Kinabalu. Absolutely fall in love with this places. Never been to Langkawi before.

Any comment or ideas or suggestion to other places. Budget Rm1000. single traveller.

Details of the complaint :

I bought O.D.M. odm-design SU99-1 3 Touch analog digital touch-screen from DAViS after viewing his selling thread here in LowyatNet. From his thread, he ask people interested with his trade to view the item at his other website

As point out in the picture below, he is selling brand new watch and because he is wearing the Safe Trader tag, I'm confident that I can trust him. So I paid through credit card payment and after some hassle with the delivery I received my package on Thursday.

The first thing I noticed was that the watch time was different between analog and digital so I consult the manual to correct the time, I managed to correct the time on digital time but I can't move the analog dial even though followed instruction in the book and the instruction from DAViS.

Another thing that I noticed that the wristband look worn and have some minuscule scratch mark on the upper part of the band. I have asked about this to DAViS and he acknowledged that the item I just bought from him is a display unit

Since the analog is useless, he asked me to send it myself to service centre. He couldn't have not notice that the watch analog doesn't move if he claims it was a show/display unit. Maybe he is using me to save him some money from sending the watch himself for warranty claim.

Now I have to wait for 10 days(30/9/2011) for the watch since I've sent the watch for repair today. I've paid RM 736.27 and now watchless thanks to this dishonest seller.

What I want now is that DAViS Safe Trader tag be removed as this would confuse user in thinking that this seller actually good and believable and I want DAViS to refund me RM50 for the trouble I had to go to claim warranty for a new bought watch and Taman Shamelin Perkasa is a hell for parking and for selling me a display unit when he advertised it as NEW.

Sum it all, regret buying from him and hope others would stop buying from him.

I notice especially in Gludio, plenty of bot hunting pigs. Some even try to steal my apiga, i guess the programming logic coding says that the bot should pick up any apiga the bot sees. Sometimes the bot did managed to steal my apiga no thanks to my slow running and some other pig blocking the path.

so what i did is, i login my another char then i PK the bot. Unsurprisingly, the bot is low level and easily kill by my lvl 6 dark elf fighter. If i hit a human player they definitely will react by cursing or fight back but the bot would just continue to hunt pig or sit down to gather HP.

how come its pretty easy to botting in Lineage2 even with Gameguard
