Working, Friends, Community, and then...?

Assalamu'alaikuum friends... and good day!
for everyone here.

Well, i would try to describe my view of giving something
useful, and also... need some positive critics...

ehm,... let me start from my activities
I'm more into developing app in desktop, and also designing
some graphic arts posters, logos, and so on...

and then, while i'm still doing what I'm used to... I saw
my friends around me.
It seems to me that they have the same opportunity as me.
But because of different background and capability they seem not have
the opportunity, be working and creative.

then I start to do a little thing,
at least to involve them to do something useful,
and earn something.... well, we do many things for fulfilling our needs right?

I tried to manage my time, and then teach them few lessons,
started from how to use computer, how to surf internet,
how to make an email, typing fast, etc....

from nothing to good,
from can not to can,
from none to aha!

now they caaan...!! nice

and because all of us are coming from same islamic background
we also have the same interest, thankfully we got the opportunity
around our place where we stay right now...

we tried to help the mosque over here... the children seems
have no agenda at night other than staying at home and play,
thus it could be ported to a mosque, and of course doing
something useful there, such as learning how to read iqra, quran, etc....

alhamdulillah,

although we did it without salary but it works....
nice

after i tried to evaluate my time, and actions,
seems my wallet getting decreased, and even more... omg

and I saw that my friends are unable to speak in english...
OMG.... they can't? Oh no....!
i have no tricks to change people in 1 day for having a skillful language capability like this
before!

And then I saw my environment as well, it seems
the course of learning english is one of the reason why so many people
choose not to join for it.

I'm feeling myself awaken.
You know? I tried to build a community that love to learn english...
started from 8 people, 10 people,

from kids, and then they brought their brother, sisters,
and not so long after they come with their mom... OMG funny

I could make an english community for making them as good learners?
I couldn't believe it!

But in community there's something I could point it out,
sometimes, there are also some ups and down...
You know when we said community only who set time time who could come
while if we dont... then they dont.

macam hujan la, kadang trun kadang tak turun.

but at least, it made.... the community is here....

But unfortunately, my friends have a different agenda...
they seems unable to join my time while organizing
the community sessions.

Then i started to think, hmm... let me find
them a DAta Entry Work... that
no need english language.... ya that's fine i think.
so they could do something and earn something for living.

I tried to dig deep oDesk, eLance,....

but lots of the jobs over there require English Language dhuaagg!!

I wish there's something that could be made
so they could stay here... and just like before,
I train them... but not to cut my wallet again... duhh duhhh!

I wish they could work together,
and we earn lots of earning....
halal of course laaa ...

I wonder,

well that's my story, and my confusion.... how about you,
what's your opinion ?

Should I find some investors? the people who could
donate our activities? or.... somethingelse?

Hello everyone...!!

Wah, wah... actually this time is very personal case.
But, for the sake of the kindness of lowyat forums... I wanted to share a bit.

I wonder if,
we want to apply a job for other people.... Hmmm... is there any specific way to get offered?
I'm curious because the other people here is actually my own brother...
And... there's no opened vacancy yet in my company that I'm currently working on rite now.

Really now I'm in a confused mode, again.

Guess what?

If you noticed there's an open source CRM posted in the community,
and it is really open. By using a php language,
and its complex DB entity (i realized).

Namely as VTiger... (roarrr...!)

Now, I got task to customize it,
not the text, nor the pix, but new interfaces... Whaaa

I'm able to read and access the CRM Db as of course,
it just, we may not notice the links (fk, or any related keys tied together).

Is there anybody, could come 'in and solve this out with me?

Java, JavaFx, and the people

Actually the title is kindda bit harsh, If I re-read it again. But somehow, let's face it.
I'm already 2 years old dealing with Java SE (mostly Swing stuff).

And you know what?
It's rarely to found out there who really-really have a team workin' on Java.

I'm in a depth of sadness, tough.
From all teamworks previously at Campus, I missed 'em all.

Geez, many of them already moved into another languages; such as VB, .NET, etc....
I know, world has many things more than that which is beauty... and more.

Anyway, Previous year ago, I search along...

Hello everyone,
Hopefully this morning is the nice morning that we've ever had...!

I'm starting this thread because I need some advice from any of you
who have more than 7 months of working experiences, in this Software Engineering field.

Ehm, Ehm...!
Expectation is expectation,
It's not just a dream,

And for a software developer an expectation is a must (as from his own agenda).
I realized when I put some of these lists into my own expectation;

1) Working in a team
2) Have a special training in a specific dates
3) Have a standard way of doing task

And guess what?
What I obtained from my current company, they don't have those listed expectations I mentioned above.

So, then?
I have 2 options;

1) Move out, and get somebody'else get in (means switch with me).

But would it possible?
This is the case whereas the people inside doesn't know about software development.
And what they know is just "End Result" >> What? Heck.... This is not just a nut, it is Nuts!

~ Need positive advice.

Master in Information Technology Field?

Really don't know too much about the Master Course in Information Technology field.

With a basic of graduated degree education. I'm planning to continue on this field.
Well, perhaps there's 2 kind of choices either I want to sharpen my software engineering or another one is the opposite one.

But could anyone of you guys there, suggest me where to go to?

UKM, MSU or somewhere?
In Malaysia of course!

What's the pro and cons?

Joomla and File Permission

forgive me if i'm wrong while posting this thread
but the intended purpose was to discuss the
security issues relating to the file permission under linux
while using / migrating joomla.

Okay, I do realize that in some basic general discussion,
many ppl are talking about the procedure of migrating joomla
from local to the web hosting...

but guys, perhaps the problem may arise when
it's moved from windows to linux environment.
Here's the interesting case. We (windows user) dont know which directories / files need to be
set writable, readable, or executable (r, w,x) in linux.
Thus, it could lead us into a trouble for getting the Joomla works migrated from
localhost.

perhaps, if there's
any senior or experienced ppl for this topic
who would like to share also.... any tips, eh?

dear friend (coders anywhere)

Since now Sun has been bought by the Oracle team,
thus The Java concern may be changed a few... or a lot.
Take a look at the packages of its API (java programming language).
Wow! It's not a small thing there.

Thus, if it's related to the JavaME, how would it be?
Whether now is not applicable to used it any longer?
Or should it be overlapped by Android....?

In other words... if there's any open discussion about this.
We shall know about it.

wow, very happy to see that there's so many musician here.
But then, comes to my mind a few questions.

I just wondering, after saw the video youtube
people are playing organ but connected to the pc and then
they do composing through out their favourite works there (inside the pc).
What a nice!
Nowadays, many musical device can be connected to
PC. but it's not all of em. And I'm not sure which one is qualified for it.

Okay,
Perhaps one of the question is

What music device that simple (electricity) and affordable?

Simple which I used in this question is referring to the electricity usage. Perhaps it doesn't take the electric bill so much.
Affordable in this question is refer to economical but still have its value for composing music.

Nice to hear there is some of user of the CO.CC website who still use their service by free.
Guess what?

Now, the website of CO.CC is getting higher, and free domain name and dns setting provided there
are not easy to get since 2009 I guess.

Because previously, about 3 or 4 months ago. I still have my own domain name registered there,
as a free one. THen, with its limitation, after removal a few weeks ago. And wanted to create a new one, I got shocked!

The registration is taking a survey which is never ends.
The page never continue loaded, except we're using its premium (which is not free anymore, it need some payment dude)...

So then,

how are you guys handling this kind of case?
Anyway, the reason why i keep set myself with CO.CC is that they allow us to set and change the Name Server,
thus we could get the domain from there, including its domain server settings.
And get web hosting (from another source). And set the previous domain name pointing into it (the newer).

Well, that one is not a guess. THat's work even until now.

How about you guys?

Have you ever wondering why with the proper VGA size in MB
still cant processing the antialiasing, rendering, and so on
yet so quickly?

perhaps the reason is soo many... for examples
the priority of the running program is not applied properly yet
or the memory management is not properly managed.

Sure, here i have try apps Called,

which help me to increase the processing...

is there any one of you that had an experiences using a bosteer or similar
