Laptop Blank Screen

was given a laptop to fix and I found it bit odd

- powered on result in blank screen.
- test different power adapter with same black screen
- plug external monitor also the same
- plugged out the disk, can boot to bios. standard no disk found.
- put in different disk, also cannot boot. I test the two disk and they're ok. no bad sector..etc.
- havent test ram yet. no spare with same spec.. will try this later.

is the mobo kaput already, maybe the sata controller?.. laptop is Asus X401A.
much appreciate any ideas or thoughts.

foam replacement.

anybody can recommend where i can obtain headphone/earphone foam replacement. my current foam is turning to dust when i hold em.
no highend stuff, just my creative and razer basic sets.

Aztech 600eu - unable to access gui

Hi all, just got this modem few days ago. after hit the reset button at the back , the GUI is not accessible anymore.

ipconfig shows 169.254.154.75 ip address. even when plugged in USB also got the same IP address. any ideas on how to gain access to the GUI again ?
