I want to move forward, but I can't make decision

I am an ambitious person.
In my work, I deliver my best and have implemented several project and enhancements successfully.

My only drawback is I don't have the opportunity to lead a junior, thus lack of chance for promotion.
This actually made me sad and angry as well, because it's not entirely my fault that I couldn't show my leadership.

This has led me to have the thought to resign for better opportunity.

But....

I am recently diagnosed with critical illness -- kidney disease.
Because of this, I always try to limit my workload and will not do OT.
My boss knew about this, yet he guaranteed my job security.
(well, mainly because I have value to the company)

Thus, I really don't know what to do....sound childish, yeah I know...but I need your opinions on this...

Stay:
Pro's
1) Job security
2) Familiar with working environment
3) Good relationship with clients, thus make my job easier

Con's
1) Lack of promotion chance
2) Kind of bored with current job
3) Sometimes I feel very irritated with my colleagues

Leave:
Pro's
1) New environment, new challenge

Con's
1) Job risk, especially because I have health condition

Hope someone can enlighten me....thank you...

Missing SMSes when switching phone

Finally I bought a smartphone although the trend has been there for years...

My previous phone was Nokia XpressMusic and now switched to Samsung SIII...

In my Nokia phone, there was a SD card so I removed it from the Nokia phone and insert to Samsung phone...and there's where my horror begins...all my SMSes in Nokia phone gone!!!

Thinking that the Samsung phone may not be able to read the format, I insert back the SD card to Nokia phone...all the images and videos still there (follow the SD card) but my SMSes still nowhere to be seen T.T

I could be wrong thinking the SMSes were saved to SD card, but if they are not, then the SMSes should be in the phone memory right? But why now all has gone?

Anyone know how can I retrieve back my SMSes? There are many important SMSes there T.T
Water-based cosmetics

Background: I am a beginner in makeup. Recently went to a personal makeup course and the trainer recommended water-based cosmetics because apparently it's better for our skin. However the brands that she recommended are quite high-end and expensive.
I will only apply makeup if there is function or dinner, not for daily use.

So now I'm looking for a good but affordable cosmetic brand which is water-based, no alcohol content.

Any recommendation?

To admin: I have searched 'water based cosmetic' but results returned are non-relevant, thus please do not close my thread lol ^^ thanks!!

Direct Injection Box

Hi, need advice, as I couldn't get much information from the web...

I would be holding an event at a hotel, but the hotel only provide free usage of basic PA system. Projector can be rented from hotel but at a very expensive rate, so I'm thinking to source projectors from outside.

According to the hotel PIC, I would need to rent the following:
1) Projector
2) VGA Splitter
3) Direct Injection (or Direct Input) box

For projector and VGA splitter, I have found the vendor who can rent to me at affordable price.

However for DI box, the vendor told me that I would not need one, as the hotel should able to provide the cable for me to connect my laptop to the hotel in-house system.

Based on my limited knowledge, the DI box is a device which is used to connect the output from an instrument (eg. keyboard, violin, guitar) to an output system (eg. amplifier, mixer) without using a microphone and with no hum loops.

In my case, I would need the DI box to connect my laptop to the hotel in-house audio system.

Actually, I'm not really sure what device is required to set-up presentation in an event. Typically, I would need a laptop/ dvd player, projector, vga splitter, screen, cables, and beside that I would need DI box too right? (because the laptop built-in speaker would not be loud enough)

Now the vendor say I don't need, but the hotel PIC say I would need one. Actually, based on my previous experience at other restaurants or hotels, i never use DI box (or is it because already provided foc?)

Thus i need expert advice here...what exactly is the function of DI box? Do i need one for presentation at an event?
Inviting Non-Chinese to Chinese Wedding Banquet

Chinese Wedding Banquet is usually held at restaurants or hotels and the cost can be very pricey....to help cover the cost, guests would usually give gift in the form of cash, and the amount depends on the location and the relationship with the couple...

But non-chinese because they do not really have this culture in their weddings, thus would inviting them to chinese wedding be costly? Because most probably they come either without any gift or they give gift in the form of cutlery/ glasses (u know, gifts that popular for malay or indian weddings)

Please give your view and share your experience. All are welcomed, especially non-chinese....

Note: I do not make my own assumption on above...it's based on my experience and observation during chinese weddings where non-chinese guests are invited... and this is also not racist topic ya...please do not post any racist remarks, thanks...

Which skincare product is best?

As per topic.

A bit description of me:

I have a normal skin type, maybe slightly better. In fact, I seldom do the ritual skincare, maybe only cleansing twice a week. Otherwise, i just wash with plain water. I apply mask maybe only once in 3 months.
My skincare products are not fixed, because all are free samples, lol...and the mask had it not given by my sister on my birthday, maybe I would never even consider to buy one.
Despite all this, my skin still look pretty good. I will have pimple sometimes, but not many...like maybe one or two at the same time, then after few days it would healed...
One thing I hate though are black heads on my nose and white heads on my chin...however, as they are not really obvious, i choose to ignore them...when fed-up though, i 'pluck' the black/white head...i know this will hurt my skin, but i got used to it already... (got to kick this habit)
Another thing is my eye-bag. It's a genetic eye-bag - i had it since very young, not because stress or lack of sleep...i want to get rid of it but don't know how...and because it's genetic, again, i choose to ignore it...

However, i want to change now. I want to do proper skincare ritual so that I have better skin health. Maybe because this is driven by the fact that I'm going to be a bride in October this year...I want to look better and have healthier and glowing skin on my big day....Moreover, in 2 years time, I will be 30. So I'm concern on those aging signs - wrinkles, sagging, double chin, eye-bag etc...therefore, I'm now considering to buy a proper skincare products and take care of my skin religiously....

Since I do not have skin problem, i think i can just try products which can be bought at pharmacies or department stores....and i have narrowed down to the brands stated ...but because i never try any of the products, i would like your opinions and reviews, if you have tried the products...best of all, would appreciate if you can give advice on skincare and beauty ritual, what to do and what not to do

Thanks
