School fee for international primary school

brp71b — Tue, 20 Sep 2011 11:52:18 +0800

My boy is going to register for primary school next year. I am thinking of to sent him to international school around Kepong-Sg buloh.
I am looking at either Sri KDU at Kota Damansara or Sri Bestari at Sri Damansara. But i have no idea on their fees structure.
Can anybody give me a rough estimate of how they charge? How is the syllybus in internation school? Do they have chinese classes?
I heard that they would be at school from morning until evening (probably 8am to 6pm) and have to involve in school curricular activities. Is it true?
When is their registration date? Are they the same as national chinese primary school where they need to register 2 years before the year of enrolment?
I would appreciate if parents out there is willing to give me some comments , advise or share their experiences with me.
Thanks a lot in advance.

Installing WinXP in M1330 Dell laptop

brp71b — Thu, 07 Jan 2010 07:39:16 +0800

i bought M1330 Dell 3 years ago. The warranty lapsed and the laptop started had problems. It took forever to perform single activity such as opening a file. After long time stuck there, blue screen appeared and computer restarted. I stopped using that laptop for a year. Then i called technical support on the problem. Dell charged me RM800+ after minus whatever could be minus in the warranty package. They changed mother board , hard disc and reinstall Win Vista. Meaning everything seems like new laptop again but with 2 years back spec. But it did not run as fast as i first bought. Sometimes, it can't shut down. It stay forever in the shut down page and never shutting down until i press the on/off button.

My friend told me that my memory is not enough to run window vista. And i read some Dell recommend to use Win XP. I had install win XP but not sure where to get the Win XP drivers for the Laptop model. Dell's website only provide Win Vista drivers.

Can i use Win Vista drivers on Win XP?
Anybody can help me with the drivers by providing the source to me?
What should i take care when using pirated window in laptop?

Thank you.
